There are not enough words of love & kindness to describe what these books mean to me. I first purchased these books to read to my son at our local store. First off, the artwork is STUNNING. So whimsical & magical & sweet. Secondly, the stories are just perfect. The best part for me was that because my son loved them so much & I read them so much I completely memorized the stories. So whenever he woke up in the middle of the night at home or too early for the liking of extended family while on vacae I could recite the stories back to him verbatim without actually having the books in my hands. It would calm him & lull him back to sleep. It was such a great feeling & they will forever bring fond memories to me. I purchased this set for a friend before her baby was born & she has loved them dearly. Thank you for creating these stories!

The words and the art throughout this book is so beautiful. Of course I appreciate that much more than my 3 year old but he loves the books as well. Originally I bought the set as a gift for a pregnant friend, but loved it so much I had to buy one for us as well! Both books are so dreamy and pretty absolutely love and would make a great and beautiful gift! Fun to read with my 10m old and my 3 year old. My toddler loves long at the illustrations as well. Package arrived on time and everything good!

4 stars really only because of delivery - not quality of the stories 😍The stories and illustrations are gorgeous as always. Sadly the outer package holding the 2 books arrived broken. A little upsetting given it’s new - but I didn’t want to return it since the 2 books inside weren’t too damaged.

As many other reviewers mentioned, the illustrations are quite beautiful. The storyline is cute and cause for imagination. My LO is still too young to understand but she immediately gravitated to the book even though her attention span lasts for 10 seconds at a time. I was looking for something that didn't have a weird story line and well constructed (literally - my daughter likes to throw things). I can see us reading these together well into the future.

These books are beautiful. The words were a bit much for our son when he was younger, though he liked to look at the pictures. He's 18 months now and enjoys listening to the books as much as looking at them.The box that these come in is kind of a waste, though I guess nice if you're giving it as a gift. When I bought it, the box set was cheaper than buying the two books individually.

These books are a perfect baby gift! I have bought so many for baby showers and all the new Moms tell me how much their babies love the books. I am very proud of Emily. I was her high school librarian and advisement teacher. Her stories along with her beautiful illustrations will be a delightful gift to give to moms as wells as their children!

Rhythm, rhyme? Who needs 'em when you have artwork this pretty. Your child will love these books for all the pictures, but you will hate reading the words within. The poetry strains your mouth with forced rhymes, total lack of rhythm, and "jackaloping paws?"I don't totally regret buying this for my daughter, but when she learns to understand the words, I will make sure she's got something far better to read.

This is such a wonderful set of books for young children! They stimulate the imagination with creative and easy to understand illustrations along with a rhyming series of carefully chosen and charming words. The tone/melody of the books is calming and perfect for bedtime/nap time. The books are robust and can withstand curious toddlers turning the pages.If you have not read about imagination and it's connection to problem solving and personality development, I encourage you to do so and you will understand why these books are so wonderful!

Beautiful books, adored by my just turned 2 year old, who asks for them every evening. Gorgeous illustrations.

Ya teníamos The wonderful things you will be y como le gusta mucho, decidí comprarle más libros de esta autora y no me equivoqué, a veces hasta me los lleva a la cama para que los leamos juntos. Además de tener ilustraciones preciosas y muy llamativas, la historia es linda y la calidad de los libros es excelente, así que mi peque de 16 meses puede manipularlo súper bien y no temo que se maltrate.

The illustrations in this book are dreamy, vivid, and beautiful. But I question which age group the text is actually for. I ended up returning my set because my toddler seems to enjoy more straightforward (and I don’t mean simplistic) and accessible narrative.

Bought this set to go with a baby gift. The stories are almost as beautiful as the illustrations - - JUST BEAUTIFUL!
