I work in a Quick Lube. We had a Technician in Training that decided to close a customer's hood, not once, but three times without lowering the hood prop (while they customer screamed at home to stop). Needless to say, this caused the hood prop to be adjusted outside of specification.Luckily, the customer did not murder my new tech, nor did the new tech show up for any of his scheduled shifts after this incident.I purchased this product and it arrived quickly. It's the real Toyota part, not a knock off.It took a couple months for the customer to trust us enough to return to the store, but when he did, I was able to install the new hood prop in seconds.You will also need the little plastic grommets if you are replacing the good prop under the same conditions as I did.
