Q: how mamy oz is this, and is it non-toxic (can i use it for fake teeth).

16 ounces are in a pound, so this being said the package is 16 ounces. As far as being non-toxic - I don't know - I use the plastic in my jewelry making process

What I have been using it for is to mold around my cabochons when I want to drill a hole in the top to place a pinched bail on the top of the cab. I take a small amount of thermoplastic and heat it in a bowl of water in the microwave for about 20 seconds at a time. Then when it is melted enough I take it out of the hot bowl of water, be careful the water gets hot, then I move it around my hand to get a soft consistency. I than mold it around the cabochon. I then can drill the hole in the top of the cab. Then to remove the cabochon I place the molded cabochon in cool water and I am now able to remove the cab. You can heat the thermoplastic over and over again.
