I was not so sure since there was a review that it pitted, but after some time of usage, I must say this is made of good quality stainless steel material. No problem with it at all. Very durable and sturdy piece.

This is advertised as a "Premium Quality Stainless Steel Lemon Squeezer." However, when I received the item I noted that the packaging did not specify stainless steel but it did say made in China. I decided to use the squeezer for a while before writing a review to see how it held up. It is quite shiny, as if plated. It has nice heft, heavier than aluminum. It feels good in the hand and works well. But after less than two months, it pitted. Stainless steel does not pit. If you have stainless silverware, pots,etc. you know this. Now I wonder what is the base metal is and what the plating is. Is it safe? I'm not an experiment so I stopped using it.

I purchased this lemon squeezer in May 2018 looking at its 5-star reviews. I should have made my decision after reading the 1-star review because it is a truthful comment about the squeezer. I can confirm that this squeezer is definitely not stainless steel because it reacts with lemon and also with hard water. I've used the squeezer sparingly in the last two months and yet I can see stains on the squeezer. Check the pictures to know what I mean. My return window has expired, but I'll try to speak with Amazon to know if it can be returned or if I can get a credit back. I don't want a replacement for the same product because I know the quality will be the same. There is a problem with the base metal. It is not stainless steel.

Very pleased, I had received 3 doz. lemons from a relative in CA. I needed to get them squeezed and in the freezer. It worked very well.
