I bought these inserts at the recommendation of my podiatrist who has had great success with this product. My story is that I had bunion surgery several years ago, but the damage from the bunions caused arthritis in my big toe joints. This in turn caused strain on my Achilles tendon. I needed a solution. I’ve been using these inserts a couple weeks now and I am already noticing improvement. Not only are my feet and toe joints feeling better, but my Achilles tendon appears to be less stained and does not hurt as much. These insoles are impeccably made to the exact size listed. They are so thin and fit perfectly under my custom insert. They are stiff without any give at all which supports my feet perfectly. Even with long walks, I don’t feel the rigid insole, but my feet feel better when I return. I do not know something like this could help my feet and Achilles so much. Highly recommended!!!

I first bought the Tega Carbon Fiber Insole after reading several reviews and so glad I did. These are my second pair - quality is outstanding - lightweight yet incredibly strong and supportive. It immediately provided the stability and support I needed without adding bulk to my shoe. It has reduced my foot pain and given me the perfect amount of stiffness. If you're dealing with foot pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking for better performance and comfort, I recommend giving this insole a try.

I got these carbon fiber insoles to help with my big toe issues, and they’ve definitely made a difference. They stiffen the sole of my shoes, which keeps my big toes from bending too much and reduces discomfort. The only downside is that Tega doesn’t offer a wide-foot option, which would make them even better.

I got these particular insoles based on the recommendation of my podiatrist. I have flat feet and now being in my 70s, I have been experiencing some pain and swelling after a lot of walking, hiking and when backpacking. Upon opening the package, I was surprised with how rigid the insoles are and my first thought was that they would be uncomfortable. Quite the contrary, I've had them now for a few days and have already noticed a significant difference when walking and being on my feet all day doing things like yard work. The pain I had been experiencing just a short time ago is basically gone and my feet feel a lot less stressed afterwards. The instructions received with them are clear and simple - remove the inserts in your shoes, place the insoles inside (they can be flipped over to fit left or right shoes) and then place the inserts back in. They are lightweight carbon fiber, so they add virtually no weight to the shoe. I thought that with the additional insole, my foot might be cramped inside the shoes, but that was not the case. I am a (Men's) size 10 and they fit perfectly in my walking shoes, hiking boots and yard work boots. I am very satisfied with both the quality and performance of the insoles in addressing the problems I have been having with my feet.

A few months ago I broke a sesamoid bone in my right foot. It has stayed sore. Then a few weeks ago, I broke the big toe on my left foot, with a turf toe type of injury. I hate wearing a boot mostly because of the difference in height from one foot to the other. This causes knee pain and other issues. I bought these for all these reasons, and they are performing even better than I expected. The pain from both injuries have really improved. They are comfortable, light, durable, and I wish I had found them sooner. They are stiff, as they need to be, but do allow some flexing, but my toe does not get bent in the joint. They are thin, and comfortable in my shoes. High quality, and I would definitely buy them again. Update: These carbon fiber shoe inserts have been a game changer for my recovery. I have a broken sesamoid bone, and the inserts provide excellent support and protection. They've helped reduce pain significantly and allow me to walk more comfortably. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with forefoot injuries.

These inserts do exactly what they say they are going to do. They stiffen the shoe dramatically and they do reduce the bend of the toe when walking/running, etc. They are also a well made, quality product. What they don’t tell you is that these inserts also change the volume of the shoe dramatically as well. A contoured footbed becomes very flat for instance when these are placed under the existing liner. I put these in my Mafate Speed 4’s and found my feet would start to go numb after a few minutes. I tried adjusting the laces repeatedly but unless I loosened the laces enough that my foot began to slip in the shoe I could not alleviate this sensation. Ultimately I have come to find these inserts introduce more problem than they alleviate.

These carbon fiber insoles were recommended to me to protect my big toe from flexing (Hallux Rigidus). I'm not to go up on my tip toe (dorsiflexion) due to a MPJ Fusion that failed and I need to prevent my big toe from bending in that direction. These do exactly that. They are thin, fit UNDER my shoes insole and give me the support I need. I don't even know I'm wearing them. They don't affect the comfort of my shoes.
