Unfortunately this fire grate is not made of very thick metal and upon using it the first time has cracked at the front from the heat. I think this grate is probably better for show rather than being used on an open fire. Item arrived in plenty of time and well packaged but for the price could be better made.

I wanted this for a decorative feature in my fireplace so it didn't need to withstand heat. Much cheaper than other fire baskets I'd seen and just what I wanted.

It was nice being able to have a log fire over the Christmas period and the grate basket worked well, apart from the rest of the nominated me to clear the ashes every morning, apart from that it worked very well.

Great little basket

The media could not be loaded.  Good size to hold Bioethanol coals and burner to make a real coal fire effect good cast iron basket!

It is small but sturdy

Split within two weeks of use. Now totally useless. Not fit for purpose.
