Another Fun Read
This book was as charming as the other Steve Higgs books I’ve read. A light, entertaining read. A perfect beach read.

I like every adventure. All are page turners.
Easy to read. One minute roaring laughing and the next minute on a hair raising adventure. Some tears when a Doxie is swept away in a river. Laughing when Patricia and Barbie make their debut as potential….. I won’t ruin it. Involves drug lords in Tokyo.

A good series to read for mystery and humor.
Very entertaining reading. Leaves me anticipating the next volume in the series. The main character is likeable and relatable.

Interesting
Liked the book except for the horrible punctuation errors. Also, it seemed a little heavy-handed with the "boys will be boys" sexual innuendo. The dogs, Dozer and Bull, are adorable characters. Some parts were laugh-out-loud funny.

The Phantom Who Wasn't There. Or was he?
More story lines than an all-new and improved Mother Goose meets Hans Christian Andersen. How will it end? Who will he shag? How can we meet Big Ben? For at least some of the answers, you must read this book!

Good read
I enjoyed the read, enjoyed reading the story. Interesting characters, though some are less likable than others. I want to find out what cases are next.

I am finding that I absolutely love reading this series!!!
After thoroughly enjoying the first book of this series, I turned to this one to see if it was as good. To my surprise and delight I found it to be every bit as good if not better! I find myself commiserating with the "hero" of these books, as he is quite human, with all the quips and foibles that come along with being a mere human, lol! I find myself laughing out loud at some of the things he is himself into, with entirely the best of intentions . . . but then, we all know what the road to he'll is paved with! I would recommend this series to anyone who loves a good mystery/adventure and likes a bit of a laugh along with it!

A Hot Time in the Old Mill
George Barker is barely in his grave before nefarious activity is afoot at his family’s namesake steel mill, which has been in operation for more than a century. It’s reportedly haunted by a hooded phantom with a burning hand whose presence always precedes death and destruction. His widow, Margaret, hires Tempest to root out the problem, which she lays at the feet of his grandson, Brett, who’s slated to inherit the mill and has bold plans to turn the old plant into a state-of-the-art production facility.Tempest and his buddies, including his dad, stake out the mill in hopes of catching the phantom at work … which they do, only to find themselves under attack from a gang of hired goons, which allows the apparition to escape. The police are tipped that the cloak and hot glove will be found in Brett’s office, and sure enough, he’s soon carted away to jail.Tempest realizes Brett’s arrest, along with the well-coordinated descent of the rented knuckleheads, is far too convenient, and aims his investigation in a different direction. By doing so, he unmasks a conspiracy far more nefarious than the legend of a hot-handed ghost … but will he and the gang survive to tell their tale?

Good read
A little rambling this time and has spread the cases a bit too thin this time solving too many cases in one book. Still a good teas though.

Another Great Read
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this great story, Steve Higgs entices you in with a variety of interesting characters and extraordinary and fascinating occurrences to be solved by the fabulous Tempest. Looking forward to reading the next book, I’ve grown quite attached to Tempest and his escapades, Mr Wiggly makes me laugh too! Plus I’m in love with Bull & Dozer 🥰

Frustrated with the author
I’ve read all the available books now and initially liked them very much for their themes. But reading this book, I got fed up with the benevolent sexism that is quite blatant in this book. Two of the main characters are like teenage boys obsessed with boobs and sex. The female characters are consistently described as ready to jump into bed with no desire for a future. It’s so disappointing because I like the Amanda and James/Jane stories.

Blue Moon Investigations, excellent story
Tempest is a paranormal investigator unlike most. His stories are interesting and exciting with a twist. Read them, I think you’ll like them.
