I really like the attention to detail and the quality of this product. There’s a lot of great instructional information and everything is included in the kit. It really makes it easy and can even be used with older kids with supervision.

I’m very happy with this new carving kit from Beavercraft. This is a complete kit with everything needed to carve 2 cute little wooden teddy bears. The knife in this kit is unique to other kits and may take some getting used to, but it is going to be great for all the detail carving now and in the future. They have thought of everything in this kit including a pencil to trace the pattern. I recommend this kit to beginners and intermediate carvers alike. Great work Beavercraft.

The C1 knife is a good beginner's carving knife. The handle is a basic, rectangular shape, but there is enough room in the handle to shape this to your own feel, which I prefer. The blade comes sharp enough to start carving, but I would recommend running this across a strop a few times right out of the box. If you are looking to start your carving hobby, I would suggest this knife before investing in a higher cost blade.
