Far superior to acrylic signalling mirrors
Bought this after a bit of research. Have owned an acrylic mirror before, but after reading up on things I decided to try a glass signaling mirror. Definitely worth it. The quality is clear the moment you hold it in your hands, and after playing around with it for some time, I fully realize its advantages over a plastic one, Not only does it signal farther and more clearly, but the sighting is clearer, and much better at assisting your aim. If you think you may ever need a signal mirror, or even just geek out on having quality things of this nature, then you should absolutely get this one.

Nice piece of kit
I carry a signal mirror when diving offshore. This mirror is well made and suits my needs perfectly.

Glass, not plastic, is the way to go!
Extremely reflective, and works well.It takes a bit of practice to be able to use it quickly and effectively, but the same is true of any survival gear.I like it.

Great product, poor quality control
This is a sturdy, well made mirror. It’s made in Japan and identical to (or substantially similar) to military issue signal mirrors. I’ve ordered 2 of these. The two halves of the first one were slightly misaligned - not enough to render it unusable, but definitely enough to annoy me. The second one I received was properly aligned.

OK, i'll probably never even use it, but it's ideal for its purpose
Sometimes i just want to buy more camping toys, and for some reason i bought this. I don't venture out into deep wilderness, but some part of my brain said: "of course you need a signal mirror, how else will you signal people?"So practically speaking, it's pretty pointless unless you're going days out into nowhere. But if you are, this may just be the ticket. It's small enough to fit in your pack, though it does have a decent number of grams to its weight(it's thicker than expected)The reflective properties are very good, it's shiny as heck, and does have the hole in the middle to help a bit with aiming it.I haven't tested its durability, but due to its thickness, i'd estimate it could easily handle some moderate drops. So what's the difference between this and any other mirror? Well, while any mirror can do the job, this one is particularly reflective, so the light that it reflects onto whoever it is you are signaling should be significantly sharper and more annoying and hence have a better chance of getting their attention. What else can one say about a pocket mirror? oh yea, it doubles as a shaving/grooming mirror

This is the Signal Mirror that You Will Want to Use
This signal mirror is like the one used in the military, The see through grid in the mirror is a true accurate site. Stand with the sun hitting it. Where you see the bright spot in your view is where the reflected light is actually going to. It is that easy. So signaling a plane or a boat or someone across a canyon is easy to do. Other signal mirrors for sale on here that have a star shaped hole do not work at all like this. They are more trial and error in aiming the reflected light.

Pricey!
Way too much for a tiny mirror. They treat the glass ones like they're GOLD! just because they don't distort or scratch like acrylic but sheesh! TOO MUCH $!
