Miracast Fail and doesn't stream from major apps
Tried using miracast with my windows laptop and it failed to output anything at all. And the airplay function works but it doesn't support HDCP or any DRM protected content. In other words, it won't play back things from Netflix or Prime Video but it will play from YouTube. Also, if you have apple music and select airplay to the stick, it doesn't work at all. Only screen mirroring via airplay works which is disappointing. This thing isn't very good for video either as it's a bit laggy and the quality is mediocre. I would only use it for stuff like powerpoints and that's about it. I would suggest paying for a wired HDMI cable for your device instead. While ugly, it's guaranteed to work and be good.Additional notes:Tried using this with my P16s Thinkpad via miracast and it would constantly fail no matter what I did. It would stall at connecting then get nowhere. Rebooting, resets, and support chats couldn't fix it. It also wouldn't play back audio via apple music airplay and spotify google cast. And I've never received a firmware update the whole time I've owned this dongle. The only thing I kind of got working was AirPlay but the audio would stutter making it borderline useless with my iPhone. So for powerpoints and stuff I guess it's fine but for any audio or video just forget it. Get a real HDMI cable and forget all this trouble. Not to mention that this won't connect to WPA3/WPA2 combo networks so don't waste your time. At least the 2.4G dongle won't. Same problem across all dongles from the M2 Plus all the way to the M100 anycast dongles. And the email support has never responded to me once.

Does not work with Motorola One 5G Ace
I bought this so I could stream directly from phone instead of using a WiFi router. For my phone it required a WiFi router to work partially. My son's Samsung A32 (5G) smartphone would work without the router; however he has the same problem - paid subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon, Peacock would show up OK on phone but would be blank on 60" plasma screen (audio only). I thought the Intel anti-piracy protection was only for paid rentals, not monthly subscription plans. Kind of defeats the purpose of wireless HDMI. May as well just use a micro HDMI to HDMI cable from a tablet. In my case since my phone won't connect without a router I may as well just use the app built into my smart TV, my ROKU stick, or Chromecast dongle I already own. Hence I returned the AnyCast device. The only reason I gave it a 3 star rating is that it did mirror my MacBook Air wirelessly to the plasma display. Chromecast can only cast from a browser, not mirror my MacBook. Smartphones and tablets mirror OK with Chromecast.

Not good for viedo viewing
PRO: It supports any operating system such as Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, etc since you can access the settings through the web browser.CON: There is a lag when projecting videos.

Great at transmitting video to your TV.
Actiontec was the device for using smartview. However, their prices have gone sky-high. This one works great and is reasonably priced.

Excellent product
Works for many systems out of box, except windows pc. Tech support solves that problem. Working beautifully since.

Does not work with Google Home like chromecast as advertised
Does not work with google home or connecting as a chromecast anymore, software needs updated,May update review if it gets fixed. So I cannot use to stream youtube like I wanted.May still work with apple productsAlso dongle needs another power supply as well as has an ugly dangling cable that is supposed to provide better connection, but creates a messy eye sore from something that looked sleek.Directions contradict themselves as to the function of the button on the sideOne set says it switches between google and Apple modes, another says it's for switching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz..EZmira app needs massive improvement as wellGot it to host video for only a few minutes, then never again...Seems buggy overall..
