Love these that's not my.. books
I really love these That's Not My... books. I've found children aged up to five enjoy them, just extend the language you use, like "Where's the mouse" and other questions about the book. This Robin one is beautiful. I especially like the page of the Robin wearing the santa hat. My one year old enjoys the different textures.

Lovely series of books.
I work with children and have found the children enjoy looking at this series of books. The illustrations are bold and colourful with something tactile on every page, and simple repeated wording. Babies enjoy placing their whole hands on the pages to feel the different textures, older children begin to and use their fingers to touch the different textures, and also find the mouse that is illustrated on every page, further developing their understanding of language. Older children have joined in with the repeated refrains, learning different words such as rough, smooth, spikey, shiny, fluffy, squashy, prickly, fuzzy, slippery, soft, lumpy, scaly, and have also used alternative appropriate words to describe what they see such as sparkly instead of shiny, bumpy instead of knobbly, fluffy instead of hairy, but this in itself is a learning experience. Older children have also read the books to younger children in my care, so although I believe the series of books are more suitable for toddler children, they can be adapted for the individual child. I whole-heartedly recommend this series of books. The reason for giving four stars and not five is there were issues with the seller, however they were later resolved. Thank you.
