Q: Can this be used with a flux cored mig welder.

This can be used on any metal except high-nickel alloys like inconel. It's mostly used for stainless TIG projects but there's no reason you could not use it to back up other processes as well. It can be difficult to remove so it's not suitable for food piping, but it works very well for less critical applications like stainless exhaust systems.

Q: Is it adhesive? Or it should used with other adhesive product?

This is not an adhesive. It is a product you mix with alcohol to make a brushable paste you brush onto the back of a stainless steel seam prior to tig welding to keep the oxygen from causing oxidation.

Q: Can this be used when mig &/or tig welding 304-to-304 and 304-to-409 stainless steel?

Yes, I specifically purchased to apply on the backside of exhaust welds on a 409 system. I was tig welding butt connections and it made a big difference. Also welded 304 clamp collars onto the 409 tubes. Worked great. Search YouTube for more info. That’s how I found out about this product. Mixed it into a paste and applied to back of weld areas.

Q: I'm Oxy/Acetylene welding stainless (gas welding is fun for me), is this flux suitable for the front side of the joint as well?

I presume you wouldn't need it as the stream of burning gas should displace oxygen from the pool as it does with mild steel. It may also contaminate the weld pool if you put it way of the welding operation as they say when you think it is clean then clean it again! It dries on the back to prevent the back oxidising thus maintaining the great anti corrosion property of stainless steel. I use tig but imho it is no way as good as a back purge of argon but you could possibly get away with it for a non critical non commercial job. I hope that helps.
