i have used mesh adhesive to patch drywall cracks but struggle getting the mud feathered due to thickness of the mesh. is this tape thinner?

I wouldn't say it's thinner, but it is far easier to feather in. No chatter of the taping knife with this product. No bubbles. Just be sure to wear thin gloves when applying. You may get fiberglass splinters. Best tape I've ever used.
