Works seamlessly
A good product capable of adding an SSD as well as giving connections that are easy to use, something needed for a Mac Mini. Bought during an Amazon sale, so good value.

Does the job!
Initial delivery had faulty USB input port but replacement fine. Makes use of peripherals easier with ports on the front face. Cannot understand why the SD card reader socket appears installed upside down though!!

GREAT but cheap feeling
this cleaver little device is a miracle.. up to 2TB extra storage through a ssd, micro SD, SD and usb access.. its perfect for my work flow and i mount it under my desk to keep everything tidy.i will make a note of the folowing observation that everyone states.. it feel cheaper than youd expect BUT equally you or nobody else will be moving or handling it much, i don't touch mine (even before i mounted under my desk) and so i never notice.. as it looks great :Dtop tip - velcro take if you want to do this :)

Eleclife USB Dock & Stand
Having bought the basic model M1 Mac mini last month to replace my 2012 model, I was looking for something to use to increase the number of USB ports, more out of convenience than a necessity since the M1 has 4 ports on the rear of the machine (2 USB-C and 2 USB 3.0). I browsed around for a while, then came across the Eleclife USB Dock & Stand.Since this particular dock was made by a few different vendors and was very similar to if not identical to the Eleclife version I began reading the reviews and found myself running around in circles trying to choose which dock from which vendor to buy. Some of the reviews for the Eleclife dock were a little negative, although this was the same for some of the others also. What clinched the deal was that Amazon had a 10% off voucher for the Eleclife model and I also thought if the worst happened and it was has bad as some of the comments made out then I could always send it back.So the Dock arrived, I fitted a 250Gb SSD, a mini sd card plugged it into the back of the Mac mini and started trying some of the negatives that where in the comments on the Amazon site for this product. I can honestly write here, that I could not emulate any of the faults that appear in these comments. Furthermore I am 100% satisfied with every aspect and functionality of the dock also.I am writing this review as a satisfied customer who wishes to help other people to save themselves a lot of time wasting, through comparing different products etc and being swayed by the comments. Everything that I have plugged into this dock was surplus from my old Mac mini including the SSD. I can only say that if this stuff works, its a few years old now, then I'm sure the more up to date USB accessories shouldn't be a problem.Good luck with your decision, I am so pleased with mine.

After purchase...
Good solution for mac minis but the seller could be a little more upfront. Its a good product but disconnects regularly. After you receive it the seller sends "tips" that could be disclosed in description. The cable seems to be faulty by nature and some other users mention changing it to have a better performance. Its a good hub but maybe not suitable for large files due to instability.

Convenient usb hub
Very professionally packaged item which functions perfectly. My only concern is that it is very light and the Mac mini rather perches on top of it than sits within it as I had hoped. Hence it has a tendency to slide around a little. My recently purchased M1 Mac mini had only 1Tb and I needed to expand it. Nowadays it seems Thunderbolt etc are just as fast as the internal SATA bus so I used this to connect an additional 1Tb drive externally and now have my X-Plane flight simulator mounted on it and it is working perfectly and very fast.

Worked for a while then stopped working reliably
This device looks great on top of my mac mini. Great colour match. It has plenty ports. However after a few months it became very unstable. Mice and web cam etc plugged into the USB 2 or USB 3.0 stopped working intermittently and in some cases froze apps like MS Team etc. I contacted Amazon and they suggested I contact the supplier which I did. The supplier was very poor wrt to comms etc. Still not resolved the issue. Now working with Amazon to see if they will resolve.

Dreadful!
Well-styled hub for Mac mini with a cavity for a 2.5" SSD. Had it for 6 months now...no operational problems so far.My only niggle with the design: it is a rotary release for the plate covering the cavity for an optional SSD and it can be tricky to lock back in place because your fingers have little to purchase against/grip when rotating the cover into the locking position. There are some poorly designed touches: SD cards are inserted upside down, and then there are some just really poor features...The SD card reader: transfer speeds are achingly slow to the point that it's quicker to connect an external card reader- not good!UPDATE: having used this for sometime now I can confirm that transfer speeds are appallingly slow ...sd/micro sd/or just plain copying of data is achingly slow.
