Made very little difference outside humidity 65% inside guitar case 62% certainly doesn’t reduce to the levels it claims to

GOOD PRODUCT FOR GUITARE CARE BUT SEEM TO BE VERY EXPENSIVE FOR A LITTLE THING.

I gave it a 3 star rating because at $10 each they're a little pricey for what they are made from...a thin porous fabric. I've only used one for about 6 weeks so I can't say how long it will last. It just sits in my guitar case with a Boveda 49% Rh humidity control packet inside, which is nearing the end of its useful life...holding at about 45% at the moment, so I will have to replace the packet in a few weeks. The Rh control packets are about $6 each and can be purchased slightly cheaper in bulk.

2/23/22 update: I may not have been happy with the items I purchased from Boveda, but their customer service has been outstanding. Without my even asking, upon seeing my review they offered to refund my money for the humidity packets and the fabric holders, and it was an easy process. So if you decide to try these items, I would say you can do so in confidence that if they don't work, Boveda will stand behind its sale and make it right.I purchased three of these fabric holders to use with the Boveda humidity packets, in order to protect my mountain dulcimers from the exceptionally low humidity in our house this winter. The packets did not work at all and the holders look like nothing but inexpensive flannel, so this was a miss all the way around. Humidity in the cases never got above 34%. Avoid this whole system and look for another way to maintain appropriate humidity for your wooden instruments.

Bought the bag for the Boveda packets I got earlier. Well made and feels like quality material. The violin master who was doing restoration of my instrument, when asked about Boveda said, I quote: “these are amazing”. So it has a permanent home in every one of my violin and guitar cases.
