City of Riverside CA Approved
When I received a letter from the city demanding a backflow prevention assembly, I was worried and confused. The quotes from plumbers ranged from $1500 to $2000, which seemed outrageous. Desperate to find a better option, I turned to Amazon and discovered the perfect solution. The Backflow Prevention Assembly I found on Amazon exceeded all my expectations. Its installation was a breeze, taking my dad less than an hour to set up. The assembly's design and instructions were user-friendly, making the process smooth and hassle-free. During the inspection, the backflow prevention assembly passed with flying colors. Its reliability and qualit in the reviews provided a sense of relief and peace of mind. I highly recommend this affordable backflow prevention assembly from Amazon. It saved me a substantial amount of money compared to local plumbers' quotes, while delivering exceptional performance. With easy installation and reliable results, this product is a wise choice for anyone facing similar requirements. Invest in this backflow prevention assembly and take control of your plumbing needs. It offers great value, superior quality, and the peace of mind you deserve.

I stayed with same brand and model
After 18 years of service, my old Zurn Wilkins backflow cracked in the cold that killed all shrubs as well. So I bought the exact replacement and my sprinkler guy installed it for me. Now, no leaks and my system works fine. Our Metro Water Service checks backflow every year in the spring. So, we have to get the backflow unit fixed or replaced if it fails their inspection. My old one was needing repairs last 3 years. Hopefully, I won't have to do it for many years. My sprinkler guy said he will remove it during winter so that I can keep it in garage all winter and then in spring he will put it back. This will improve the device's longevity.

Expensive, but high quality.
My water company says that it’s a county rule to have one if you have a well. I haven’t installed it yet but it looks to be well made.

Check OAL new to old if replacing
I was replacing a 975XL with a 975XL and I found the new valve was about 5mm LONGER than the original. The longer length caused a mismatch at the union. The unions are bottomed out in the valve so there is no adjustment there. Other than that, the valve works well, replacing a worn out valve that couldn't be repaired with a rebuild kit.

Excellent Reduced Pressure Backflow Preventer for Sprinkler System
The Wilkins 1" 975XL Reduced Pressure Backflow Preventer is an excellent and less expensive choice to remain compliant with local codes. The valve assembly is solidly constructed, and durable. I bought the 975XL as a replacement when the original 10 year old 975XL valve was damaged through an accident. I like the Wilkins setup, as it took a few minutes to install and test. Determining the pressure differential is easy with the built-in test cocks. If you decide to install this valve indoors, ensure that you have a proper discharge pipe to handle any water that may flow out of the differential relief valve. Don't mistake this valve for the cheaper double check valve systems. This valve is rated for use when the discharge water is considered contaminated or toxic, such as with irrigation systems.
