5 Stars for Laptop, 5 Stars for Best Tech Deal Corp
First, the prompt service and delivery was incredible. I put the order in on Saturday. I don't have Prime, but the estimated delivery time for Prime was on Wednesday. I got the laptop on Monday. That means, someone on the "Best Tech Deal Corp" team was working late on the weekend, and got it shipped IMMEDIATELY.On the one hand, no one should be working that late on a weekend. Give your employees a break; let them spend time with their family. I don't need my laptop that bad. On the other hand, beating Amazon Prime by two days is impressive! Now, for the laptop:-This laptop was bought, opened, upgraded by "Best Tech Deal", and repackaged, and sold with a key for Office 2019. Everything was securely packaged. The key package was unopened, and registered, installed fine.-It hasn't been used for more than a few hours, as of this review. But everything is clocking in at what its supposed to, and running fine. It's well worth the asking price, for the specs.-NOTE: On one part of the product page, it says the processor clocks at 2.7GHz. In another, it says it clocks at 1.6GHz. It's a 2.7GHz processor. I would've returned it, if it was 1.6.-I worked 7 years in IT, and 5 as a software developer. It look me a good 5 minutes to find the power button (it's a key on the keyboard). Weird placement!-It sold in "Windows S-mode". This forces you to use MS Edge (no Chrome), and only apps bought from their store. Also, you're stuck with all the Windows 10 bloatware. In order to get out of S-mode, you're forced to install the "disable S-mode" app from the store, which requires an online MS account. No matter what, you're forced to give Microsoft all your contact information. Serious privacy infringement! If it was sold with a regular copy of Windows, you could get around it.-Also, Asus added its own bloatware to the laptop. I get companies do that, but it's still a pain. Although most of it you can uninstall without Powershell/Regedit/GPO.
