This little kit is an excellent home or travel bit of added security. I use it daily! Got one kit that I keep on my back door on the front door. I have it near the door and use it if I take a nap during the day or if I’m sleeping at night or in the shower as I live out in a rather rural area where it’s hard to get law-enforcement to come out in a timely manner if there’s an issue so it buys you time to provide for your own safety and defense. Also got a spare kit from when I’m traveling. Had to recently go to a funeral out of state stayed at a KOA campsite and was going to use it there unfortunately the cabin I rented there was too wide of a gap between the door jam set up, and it would not provide adequate surface for this to lock in and would’ve allowed the door to just be opened anyway, so I wasn’t able to use it there, but it works great in hotels and anywhere else with your standard door jam. Love that the battery operated doorstop alarm is decently loud and you can adjust the sensitivity so if you have a door that rattles a little bit because you live in a windy area you can set it to where it won’t set it off so easily, but if someone where to force their way through it’s definitely going off. Definitely recommend it for those people with safety concerns are just want to buy themselves a little added time to react should someone have bad intentions and attempt to gain entry where they’re staying?

I really liked that this came with an alarm pedal. Hopefully we won't have too many issues with it on our trip. There is a volume control on the side, but it does not work. It only has one volume available. It's really loud. Our son is of special needs and that is why we got this. He can no longer be confined in the pack n play. He has to sleep in an open bed now, so he will have more access to the doors. We have used the door locks in the past, and it comforts us. I hope we feel the same way about the pedal.

I bought this for my granddaughter for her solo trip to Chicago from Iowa and she said it worked great...gave her peace of mind!!

The door piece worked great and was very easy to figure out and use at the hotel I stayed at. The door stopper did not fit under the hotel door and just slid when the door was opened, so I was not able to use it for that. The floor was vinyl though, so maybe a different type of flooring it would have worked for. I will say however, the alarm is extremely loud and the item was easy to use. I kept it next to my bed and on felt more secure. I would definitely recommend especially for women traveling alone or for out of the country trips you are feeling a little uneasy about.

This is a great purchase when traveling. I bought it because I’m traveling out of town to Turkey by myself and wanted a piece of extra security in my hotel. Tested on 2 different doors in my house. It works very well it doesn’t budge when yanking on the door and I mean yanking and hitting it hard and the floor piece has a very loud alarm that’s very sensitive. It does have a setting though for low medium and high. Highly recommend for not just hotel use but any door where you are at to feel a bit more safe, the world we live in you never know

I purchased this dual security item and tested the door lock before going on my trip. It didn’t work well, but I thought it may work better on the hotel doors. Wrong. It just does not secure the door. However, the doorstop alarm – – excellent! I used it and felt more secure in my hotel room. Because it was purchased as a set, and I want the door alarm, I’m keeping both.
