Chanel No. 19 by Chanel for Women 1.7 oz Eau de Toilette Spray

I have been using it for 48 years and still love it. It is not a heavy scent.

Again my love of chanel....lots of compliments when I wear this....it makes me feel good...as I said before it performs the function of aroma therapy for me...and for me that is a good thing.....we need all the help we can get these days and this is one way I have of doing it...try it yourself, it might work for you.....no guarantees, but just see....

I violated my own rules by ordering this product without checking prices elsewhere. When it arrived I was surprised by how small the package was and started Googling other sellers and found that I could have purchased TWICE the amount at department stores and STILL paid $20 less than I paid for this. This is exactly contrary to the reason I have been a loyal customer of Amazon's for many, many years. Since it was a third party seller, Amazon referred me to the seller,who said I could return it, But I was in a bind by then because it was a birthday gift and I didn't have time to deal with it. The lesson learned is: caveat emptor - let the buyer beware.

Unbelievably beautiful green rose with a touch of powder to complete the perferection. It is a fragrance worn by m-lle Chanel herself. Is there more to say? Just keep in mind that eau de toilette is quite different from eau de parfum as it usually is with Chanel fragrances. Chanel No. 19 eau de parfum is greener, the galbanum note is very strong in it. In eau de toilette, although galbanum is present, the solo is performed by rose. Pure parfum is closer to eau de toilette. They were both created by Henri Robert in the beginning of the 70s, while eau de parfum came out much later and I believe was Jacques Polge's creation.

Eine Freundin von mir hatte vor kurzem eine Probe des Duftes Chanel No. 19 und ich war davon einfach fasziniert, so das ich mich hier bei Amazon etwas umgesehen habe und siehe da, es war noch genau ein Produkt davon vorrätig. Da habe ich natürlich sofort zugeschlagen. Heute schon kam er mit der Post und ich habe ihn direkt aufgetragen, der erste Eindruck war verhalten, denn er roch etwas nach Tabak...aber nach einigen Minuten entwickelte er sich in einen extravaganten, lieblich, glamourösen Duft der auch noch sehr laaaange hält. Ich bin überzeugt und kann den Duft nur weiterempfehlen.

So happy to have found my favorite scent. I will keep it for special occasions though.
