My sister who has a very bad nail biting told me about this. I have had gel nails for at least a year without taking a break in between. Without the gel, my nails are the same as my sisters really really thin and they break so easily so I tried this until I go back to getting my nails done with the gel and then even a few days I can tell a difference but like in a week or so, very worth it for me anyway.

I picked my nails my entire life (I'm 29) and when I say pick I mean my nails were so short swiping a nail brush horizontally across my nail would completely cover the entire fingernail. My finger nails feel smoother and my cuticles are adequately moisturized without having to constantly apply lotion all day. Considering that I work in healthcare and wash my hands countless times throughout the day and my cuticles are healthy and not cracked and cross speaks volumes to how far this stuff goes! A little bit goes a long way! If you miss a couple days your nails don't look too awful as opposed to other products once you stop using it your nails go back to where you started. While with the jar you may be able to get a tiny bit more product, I find the tube easier to apply.

It’s like a vitamin for your nails.

As a teen I had surgery on my toe and since then the left 1/4 of my nail grows in angled wrong which makes it fragile on one side of my toe and only able to grow about 1/5 of an inch on one side. It forms a major crack once it gets to 1/5 of an inch. So it looks like I cut a square out of my nail on the top left side. I have tried everything, even trying to strengthen it with crazy glue. Nothing worked. When I put Mavala on in the morning and evening after a few months I had a normal shaped nail. It still grows in wrong but the strength and flexibility of the nail has changed dramatically so it no longer cracks off. The key is twice a day application without it getting washed off or wiped off by socks. (Before putting on socks give the cream time to soak in.) My nails are better with applying the Nailactin cream at night, but I have not seen as dramatic results as on my toe where I use it morning and evening. Be patient. The cream is working on the nails as they form and grow from your nail beds. You only need a small amount and if you are wearing nail polish don't bother putting it over the polish. Basically you are waiting for the new and improved nail to grow out from below the cuticle area. If you stop using the cream your nails will go back to how they used to be.
