We are to the comfortable stage with most of our friends that when we host dinner, the kids AND adults get plastic plates. It cuts back significantly on the cleanup after the dinner, and leaves us way more relaxed after several hours of prep. That being said, we always use high quality plastic plates, that are heavy duty and don’t bend. We never use the paper plates or cardboard, and 9 inch plates are the smallest diameter I like to go. I was a little worried these plate would be too small, but they are perfect size and the compartments hold food separated that would otherwise run - foods with sauce or dressing, jelly’s or jello or fruit with juice. These are high quality plates and I would get them again - they work for all types of dinners including ones where we use steak knives to cut food.

The manufacturer claims these can be recycled, but there is no recycling symbol on these. I am recycling them. They are sturdy and I appreciate the sections as food can be separated.

Ordered these by mistake, meant to order the larger, more sturdy 10 inch plates

I served lunch for 9 people today and used these plates at self serve style line. They aren't super thick, but none of the plates bent or sagged at lunch. I served Tex-Mex refried beans, rice and my specialty 5 layer enchiladas. (Homemade beef, sauce, homemade corn tortillas and 3 kinds of cheese layered and baked like a lasagna) It's heavy, solid food for a group of folks doing physical work on a historic adobe building. The plates let folks keep each food separate and still held up well enough for seconds.

Was WAY smaller than I expected, each portion is separated by a thin line, not useful for my purposes.
