Before putting this floor mat down, my family was slipping on my garage floor. This mat is an amazing product… helped my family safely walk from outside to in.

Thinner than advertised, won't lay down flat when glued
We purchased this product to replace similar floor covering in our racing transporter. Unfortunately, this material was so thin (2.7mm and not the 3.0mm advertised) that it would not lay down flat. And when glued it wanted to roll up and distort more. We ended up pulling it up and we're looking for thicker material now.

Horrible smell
Even after a week outside and being washed this product has a horrible smell.Even though it has many good qualities, the smell is intolerable even outside.

Factory edges arent straight.
I purchased this for a home gym floor. There is no good way to match multiple pieces, because none of the factory edges are straight, and you cannot match up the coin pattern. Also, tape doesn't stick to the backing. It's not 3mm thick unless you're measuring from coin to backing. The base thickness is 2.5mm.The description is a bit misleading. It wont lay flat on under its own weight. They rolled it with the patterned top inward, so when you unroll it, it will want to roll back up on you.Mine was shipped late, which held up everything else in assembling my project since the floor comes first. If your planing on joining more than one piece then save yourself the aggravation, and get the right stuff. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it's somewhat usable. I don't have all of eternity to ship this back, and wait around only to have this happen again.
