This is my third one of these cases. The first one had a broken hinge on arrival so I returned it for a replacement. The next one arrived scratched and covered in finger marks like it was a returned item. The last one which I am currently reviewing has been in use for around three weeks. It does get used daily as I keep my modest vinyl collection inside it. This one now has problems when closing the lid down. I'm careful when opening and closing the box as it only has half clasps for holding the lid so that if needed you can remove the lid entirely. It is however the hinges which look like the weakness in the design. Mine now have so much play that when closing the lid on the box the lid does not line up properly without the raised lip around the box. It's frustrating to the point where I am just going to try and find a better storage box as this box although not the most expensive is still not worth the money due to cheap materials and workmanship.

These aren’t bombproof, more like strong for domestic use, I can’t imagine a dj (in the days of vinyl) using one for long. But this is the FOURTH one I’ve bought so that should tell you something. They will stack, but only loosely, there are no indents for locating, when full they are HEAVY so I wouldn’t recommend stacking higher than three.

Not so easy to open the box, but it is nicely finished inside and out. Because it will hold so many records, it becomes very heavy when full. I believe it would have been more user freindly if it only held 50 records.

I bought this for my Son to store his LPs.He’s really pleased with it.
