Is this ok just to have on the floor is the mattress thick enough or does it need a stand with it?

We used it on a coffee table at the side of the bed in the hotel room. I wouldn’t personally use it on a floor.

Does this come with a mattress?

It comes with a padded mattress. It’s not very thick but the recommendation is not to use anything else with it for safety reasons. I wrapped a large muslin around the head end for a bit of extra cushioning for the head.

Yes absolutely it would. As long as you lie your baby flat. It is safe for baby and vented so it would be safe I reckon.

Can anyone recommend where to get a thicker mattress for this?

I couldn’t find one anywhere, so as it was only used by my Grandson occasionally I folded a towel underneath the mattress.
