Q: In the description is says: country of origin = united states. on the picture of the item, it says: made in mexico. where is it made?

It says made in China in fine print on the paper on the back. Hope this helps.

You should put one on in front of the filter lens and one between you and the cheater lens.

Q: Are these lenses impact resistant?

I wouldn't rely on then for grinding protection. But they're a great cheap and consistent replacement lens.

Q: Are these really 0.7 inches thick? They do not look that thick in the photo.

No way are they .7"! Possibly .7mm. Maybe .07" but I also haven't measured them
