The valve cover gasket was just fine as well as the spark plug tube gaskets.The issue is with the camshaft seals. The metal ring under the rubber is to large to be pushed into the valve cover. When you try to install the seal it won't go in flush and the seal will rip around the metal ring.On top of that the seal will seat sideways so if you try to install the cover with the seal mostly in the valve cover gasket the seal will catch on the VVT solenoid and rip. I bought the Mahle camshaft seal and they went into the valve cover no problem whatsoever and seated evenly.

This is a very complete set and of very good quality as far as I can tell. All of the gaskets included fit correctly just like the original gaskets that came off except for maybe the seals for the bolts, they didn't fit as snug as the original I believe they are thinner which makes it feel like the bolts are going to fall out of the valve cover but this should not affect sealing after they are torqued down I hope. Because of this I have it 4 stars

I'm completely satisfied with this product. It's not easy to install. However it has nothing to do with the part. I would definitely purchase again.

The gaskets worked great, but like others, I had problems with the camshaft sensor and spark plug seals. The camshaft sensor seals did tear apart during installation over the sensors. I replaced them withMAHLE GS33786 Engine Camshaft Seal Kit. That was a huge difference in installing them in the valve cover and over the sensors.

Gaskets fit perfect. I didn't change out the spark plug gromits, cause I didn't have a good punch to get the old ones out and the new ones in. Don't need any gasket "glue" for the gaskets , just for the metal seams on the block. Where the timing cover and block join.

I did the rear valve cover gasket on my 2008 Taurus-X 3.5 The main gasket was a good fit. No complaints there. However, all the spark plug seals were way to tight and didnt fit. (Even after using some lube on the spark plugs tube to help…) Also, the vvt solenoid seal was a real fight to have it fit. I ended up using the second one in the kit. The first one simply got damaged after to many failed attempts. And finally; the small blue grommets that are sealing each valve cover bolts are too loose. I had to fish 2 of these bolts at the bottom of the engine. (The blue color will help you locate your missing parts…)Overall, would i buy this kit again: NO.I needed to go and buy all the spark plugs seal from my Ford dealer. This is not supposed to happen when you buy FelPro. I am usually a big fan of all Felpro engine gaskets, dont get me wrong. But this kit simply didnt meet my expectations.I will probably return the rest of the kit for a full refund. Fyi, i have 21 years of experience as a car mechanic.
