I buy several sizes in the clear stand up pouches and this is a great quality bag.

Needed something that didn't have the premade top closure. Needed a smooth top. My machine wouldnn't seal the others well, but these are perfect.

I make MRE's for my hubby who is an airline pilot. I decided on MRE's after he had no food during covid lockdowns. He enjoys them so much that I now make him MRE'S for every meal while traveling. That's about 60 meals monthly. Making him pure unadulterated food has manifested into a healthier man. More energy more stamina less jet lag. **to address another person's feedback...these bags are not meant to seal in a vacuum sealer. They are stronger than the plastic bags designed for the Seal A Meal type device. These bags are for long term storage, and in my case, even though short term, they are tuff enuff that they don't get destroyed by being tossed around during traveling. These bags must be sealed with a flat iron or a heat sealer like Harvest Right sells.

They ARE thick and smooth so if you’re using them for long term storage you’ll need a hotter than average sealer or a thin flat iron. So get a flat iron, or get a wife who owns a flat iron or get a really good food sealer. Otherwise 5 stars.

If you’re looking to purchase mylar bags then you’re pretty serious about protecting your food stash, like us. We did tons of research and read thousands of reviews before settling on these. It was a good purchase. These are far thicker than many we’ve tried and the price was fantastic. These come flat packed and sealed well. These don’t crease easily and seal up on the first try. I’m confident these will extend the shelf life of my food and keep my documents waterproofed. Overall, a very good purchase.

These do not work with a Foodsaver. The air does not get sucked out, but you can get a seal if you hit the seal button 5 times in a row.

Good bags, rounded edges so they don’t puncture other bags when storing or stacking, thickness is good. Size is also good for packing and vacuuming, thanks.

These bags do not work with vacume sealer I also purchased from Amazon They do not allow air extraction also do not seal
