Simmons Beauty Sleep Foldaway Guest Bed (Twin), Black

I purchased the Twin Size here on Amazon (which is much greater in quality than the Single Size I had purchased in the fall and had just recently fell apart). The structure is much more heavy duty (although light) and the foam mattress is about 5" thick compared to the 1" thick mattress that came with the Single Size. Unlike the Single Size, the Twin Size does not creak and the side steel springs do not stretch out, so the cot stays flat...no sinking in the middle. With it all made up with sheets and a blanket or a quilt and a couple of stacked king size pillows, no one would guess it's a cot when they lay down on it, because it feels sturdy like a bed and not a squeaky, wiggly cot when you toss and turn. I am telling you, this thing is better than any cumbersome and hard to get up from blow up mattress. It's a good height off the ground and easy to get out of. It only takes 30 seconds or less to set up. Simmons Beauty Rest is a major household brand name for a reason. Highly recommend this in the Twin Size! Nice and wide and comfy. No sore back like on a couch or pull out couch bed. Absolutely delightful!

I purchased two of these beds and am extremely pleased with them. I tried twin sheets but they were WAY too big so ended up buying cot sheets elsewhere and they fit perfectly. I also bought very inexpensive double bed foam toppers and cut them to fit. My two grandsons found the beds to be he extremely comfortable. One grandson is about 6" 2" and had no problems.I just wish they would make this same bed in a"standard twin' size. I have no doubt they would sell two or three times as many of the beds and I personally would be willing to pay more for them. The cot size is sufficient but standard twin would be better and easier to buy bedding for. I would give them5 stars if full twin size.They store easily and a little larger would store well too. Come on Simmons, give it a try!

I just received mine yesterday. It was easy to set up and take apart in just a couple of minutes. Once set up, I tried it out and fell asleep in just a few minutes - quite comfortable. I bought mine for car camping using a tent and it should work well for that as it has some give to it and doesn't squeak. It also folds up nicely to fit in the back of an SUV or under a bed for storage, It is not a true twin size ( only 31" wide) so standard twin sheets and mattress pads will not fit it without some modifications. I plan on using a flat sheet and tucking it in using hospital corners for extra protection. I am 5'9" and 200lbs and fit on with a little room to spare. If you are much over 6' then you need to think about your feet hanging over the end. Overall, a good buy for car camping or for guests.

This was a good buy for my family gathering, 2 different people had to use it, they where both tall (above 6") and they where very comfortable! Easy to put up, folded back and store. I'm happy I got it!

I suggest an inflatable with built-in blower instead, much cheaper, bigger and better comfort. Not as easy to fold up but easy to store.

The bed worked fine until the 30 day warranty expired. The "box spring" area is basically canvas stretched over metal rods that are sewn into place. Holes are punched into the canvas next to the rods and then springs hook onto those rods to support the person's weight. This would work, but the holes do not have any rivets or covers placed on them. The holes are just raw fabric. What happens is, that if, or in my case...when the tiniest nick appears in the canvas the sleeper's weight will cause the rod to rip through the fabric as easily as tearing off a piece of duct tape.The bed is rated for something like 300lbs...I could be wrong. I weigh half that, around 150lbs. From what I've found you can't buy a replacement canvas plate so you're just out the $100+ dollars you spent on it.My advice, buy it from Walmart. You'll get it cheaper AND you'll have 60 days to return it instead of 30. Also the Simmon's manufacturer warranty ONLY applies if you buy it from an "authorized seller"...which I'm pretty sure is an actual Simmon's Store. So be warned.

This is an excellent, top quality item and matches exactly what I was looking for in a fold-away bed. It's extremely neat & compact (even when it's in the box). It's also very strong, easy to carry or move around, soft & comfortable mattress that stays in place, firm backing & support, sturdy footing. And I love that it's easy to unpack & setup or foldup & pack away. The specific measurements were exactly as stated in the description. Excellent product!!!

Bed arrived on time. Easy set up and seems comfortable. I'm giving it 3 stars for now because the mattress has a strong chemical smell. Perhaps after it has "aired" out and the cover has been laundered, the odor will subside.
