A fun project that my wife loves
Anyone who is familiar with model building would find this kit pretty easy to put together in a day. I am not that guy, but I still managed it over a weekend. The pieces are laser-etched into plywood sheets, some of them very delicate, and it's a little scary popping them out, but they are sturdier than they seem. The instructions aren't 100% accurate, so pay attention to what you're doing! You will need a good sized bottle of super glue that is easy to work with (not those flat little tubes). I used a 15g bottle of Gorilla super glue and it made the job a lot easier!

Great quality
I absolutely love this thing. I forgot how to read and thought I was getting an elf library. I didn't realize I'd have to put it together, but it was super fun! The details are amazing! I bought another but got the right glue for it this time.

Excellent materials. Confusing directions.
I was given the Elf Library for Christmas. Here are the pros and cons.Pros:- High quality materials. Some pieces were cut so well they didn't even need glue to hold them together.- Windows and books were printed very nicely. The oil papers used for the windows were especially beautiful.- Room for customization. Some pieces could very easily be painted to add your own colors/details. Ladders/books can be left out or moved to other places. I replaced the little paper books that came in the kit with some books I made out of cardboard and like the way they turned out.Cons:- Steps 1-6 were easy to follow. After that, things become more confusing.- The angle of the mirror means that the viewers reflection can sometimes be seen. For the most part, this is not a problem.

Like the Outcome
The media could not be loaded. I'd give this 4 stars for the assembly. It took me several hours and some of the instructions were not that clear. The way it's instructed to assemble the first steps makes it difficult to line the mirror in the back the way it's supposed to be. Regardless, I enjoyed putting it together and I love the final result.

Fun to do, not the best instructions
I bought this for my bookshelf, figured it would be a nice little step up and look nice. Finished it and it does look good, but you just really need to follow the instructions. There’s a good amount of steps and it does take some time, you need to use the correct glue, or you will see it when you’re finished. Also the boards when you’re finished need a lot of pushing to go in and don’t fit perfectly. Instructions could be better for the price, seems to be quality and made well.

Enjoyable & relaxing hobby
I liked every minute in building this gem! The product after completion is very satisfying & can be used as book supports....but in a unique way!

He loved it!
Bought this for my boyfriend. He was impressed with the detail put into every piece. He is currently building it and so far no issues. You will need to buy glue to put it together.

Some of the worst directions I have ever used - Elves Library
The layout and presentation of the build guide is awful and very difficult to see how things orientate when putting it together. Take for example the gargoyle/dragon pieces, the wings I believe are supposed to be flat (according to the 30 second video I found) but they sure look askew in the directions - then the guide to glue them is only on one side of the dragon.Couple that with some very low quality/blurry printing of the paper you place in there to look like bookshelves. Not impressed at all.
