Solved an unusal problem with 5.1 audio and bluetooth-enabled hearing aids
My application is a little unusual. I have Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids, and a streaming adapter that transmits audio signals directly to my hearing aids.I had been using a small PC as my "settop box" for streaming media. Since the PC has only stereo audio outputs, that signal worked just fine with my adapter; I could hear dialog and sound effects just fine on all I watched. But recently, I was having some difficulty with stuttering and buffering issues on several streaming sites, despite having very fast internet service.I was advised to stop using a PC for viewing, but to change to an Amazon Fire Stick instead. That fully resolved the stuttering and buffering issues and seemed to improve the video quality nicely. But it wreaked havoc with my hearing aid support system, at least for some material. It turns out that some modern material supports "5.1 audio" (Bosch: Legacy, for example). For material like this, the dialog is concentrated in the center channel, and almost inaudible on the left and right front signals -- which had been piped into my hearing aid streamer. So, suddenly, I couldn't hear the dialog well, the main purpose for piping audio into my hearing aids.I figured this out and unplugged from LF and RF outputs on my amplifier and plugged into the center channel instead. Problem solved! Until I wanted to watch John Oliver Last Week Tonight, which apparently doesn't support 5.1 audio, leaving the center channel output quiet.I then tried plugging one side of the RCA cable going to my hearing aid streamer in the center channel, and the other into one of the front speakers.Well, this sort of worked. I could watch Bosch had get the dialog in one ear, and I could watch Oliver and get the dialog in the other ear. An uncomfortable short-term solution. The next step was to buy an audio mixer (an LZSIG Mini Audio Mixer). I plugged the center channel into Input 2 and set it to Mono. I plugged the left and right front channels into Input 1 and set it to Stereo. I sent the output stereo signal to the streaming adapter, and now all is well. The only hitch is that the mixer supports 1/8" and 1/4" plugs, and all my inputs and outputs needed to be RCA plugs. Fortunately, I had a deep audio adapter junk box and found all the requisite adapters. All works well now, with an added improvement in that the mixer is able to provide a welcome volume boost. Now viewing is better than ever. But this is a decided issue for hearing aid users like me trying to use streaming Bluetooth hearing aid adapters.

By far the best 4 input mixer I have tried; using it for professional gigs
I tried a few of these small mixers and this one is by far the best. I needed to use it to combine music from my laptop via Spotify with my full-blown mixer without switching cables. This is an active mixer (i.e., powered with active electronics) which I think is the best way to go. I have had no issues with buzzing or background noise when there is no music playing. I have also used this directly without my mixer when I just need to connect up my mic and a Spotify source like my phone or laptop. I looked at a lot of these and this one is the best.

works as advertised, after getting a replacement from the manufacturer
The first mixer that I got was dead on arrival. I reached out to the manufacturer, and they were more than happy to send a replacement once I sent a short video of the problem. The issue seems to have been with the mixer, not the power supply. The manufacturer responded within three business days.I’m no audiophile, but I have no issues with sound quality, and using this mixer actually eliminated buzzing that I’ve been having when no audio was playing. The product works as intended and is easy to use! It’s an all-metal chassis, front and back. The issue that I had with the broken mixer was that the power light was blinking, and the audio was not passing through the mixer. (The light is supposed to be constantly on.)

DOA , Twice
I have gone thru 2 of these and both arrived dead. Same issue others reported, plug it in and turn it on and the pwr light lights up and goes out over and over, making a popping noise every second. Almost like a slow kick drum hit. The issue is not the mixer but the power supply, the 12v power supply is putting out low voltage so the mixer tries and powers on and then can't over and over. I tested both mixers with a 12v power supply from my synth and it worked fine. Actually a great little mixer if you want to keep buying them till you find a power supply that puts out the correct voltage or you have a spare 12v center positive power supply. I really liked the mixer, I might try a third but if I have to spend extra for another working 12v power supply then I might as well spend the little more on the 6 channel version. Just know if you buy this you'll need to go thru a few till you find one with a good power supply

Works well, Power supply is inferior for sure.
Well, it works well enough - once you get a replacement power supply for it.The first one did the same as others mentioned - the power supply just flaps the power off and on on the unit. I bought a replacement power supply that can deliver 2000ma and it worked to keep the power up just fine.At least the second one worked fine, the first one was DOA completely. The second unit shipped works well with no noise that I notice. BOTH had inferior power supplies.I really like the size and setup of this device. The manufacturer would do well, in my opinion, just adding five bucks to the price and providing a suitable power supply for the mixer. Honestly, with all of the complaints on the power supply, the quality is so poor that I would be a bit concerned keeping such a 'questionable' power supply plugged in all of the time. Thought it best to get a good quality universal power supply for $15.00. *note to manufacturer - I was willing to pay more for a good power supply* - But it might sway me away from future purchases from this company.I was tempted to just get a refund on the first unit and try something else entirely, but I did like the size and the availability of the 3.5mm input/output jacks.

It really is very low noise, metal case, powerful output levels
this mixer was cheap, well built, it is VERY quiet making almost zero noise, and has a decently powerful amp for the output. I used this mixer as my primary for multi device live lofi recordings for a little over a year. only after alot of use i began to notice the nobs i turned the most began to produce a fuzzy static while they were being turned. once i stop turning the sound stops but it didnt do that when it was new. i did use them alot on a daily basis so that may be part of it. if you need a clean mini mixer that is dirt cheap but built well you have found it.
