This stand is solidly built and heavy. It holds my MacBook Air without any problems.But I actually bought it as a stand for my Roland JD-XI synth keyboard (a small 37-key unit). It works really well. There are 4 "laptop stoppers" that are adjustable to block any accidental bump that might throw the keyboard off.The only con is the "mouse tray" that is so small that it doesn't make sense.

As a solo musician and Entertainer using electronic backup for my performances, I needed a sturdy yet compact service for my laptop and my tablet. After looking at many different brands and models, I decided to give this one a try and was not disappointed. For the price, this collapsible stand cannot be beat. It adjusts to the perfect height and allows me to quickly access a backup tracks on my laptop or on my tablet. Wish I had known about this product several years earlier because it would have made my life so much easier.

I use this when we travel around to perform in concert and it works pretty well. Fairly compact and quick and easy to set up. Has some weight to it, which is a good thing, to help keep it steady.

I'm using it with a 15.4" Dell Precision notebook for location photography using tethered capture. I am very satisfied with it. The stand was quite a bit heavier than I thought it would be; it's made from thick steel tubing. This might make transporting it around a bit of a pain, but it's rigid and stable which are much more important to me. The pull out mouse tray is awesome because I hate using trackpads.If I'm being picky, two areas for improvement are: 1) I wish it collapsed to be a few inches shorter so I could also more easily use it when seated in a low chair. 2) I'm concerned about the longevity of the plastic tension knobs. Metal would have been preferable, though I'm sure would have increased the price.

TERRIBLE QUALITY!!! Knobs DO NOT hold, become stripped after very SLIGHT use and cause entire stand to come apart!!! I only had the stand one week, and after folding the stand to transport it, the bottom half of the stand slid out out the top part, and hit my foot. I tried to tighten the knob more upon using it again, and the stand continued to fall apart! The seller only allows for ONE MONTH after purchase to return this item because he KNOWS it will NOT WORK CORRECTLY. because I’m STUCK with a broken stand, and no refund. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED,

I use this stand for setting up AV systems with my laptop in all sorts of situations. It's great to have a nice stand that is super stable. The mouse area is kinda tiny but through a hardcover book in your laptop bag and set the mouse on that and problem resolved.

This is a great product that I wish I had found a lot sooner. I am a controls technician and use my computer on a job site daily. This tripod is excellent quality and very secure to hold my laptop on construction sites with ease. It breaks down to a very easily portable size and is lightweight and easy to carry. It's height is adjustable for standing or sitting . The mousepad is a bit small but I use a trackball so it was not an issue for me as I don't need to move it around . Highly recommend this to anyone what's the use the laptop in multiple locations.
