No, there is no silver in this product.

They have a seal/lining around the frame so I haven't tried to cut them. But they work really well and I don't have to change them for days. Very absorbant.

definitely disposable - you can't wash them. They are made out of paper, but they do an incredibly good job of absorbing moisture.
