Probably One of the Best Professional-Grade Grinding Wheels on the Market
It easily worked down the rusty, degraded steel in a very fast time. The operation of the wheel was quite smooth and I had the job done in no time. I also did some of my neighbor's lawnmower blades and the result was a decent finish in a very short period of time. Don't buy the inexpensive cheapie brands, you could end up with a disaster. Their breakage rate is very high. Hey guys, don't take off those grinder guards. They're there for a reason.

seem to be good
I have only used one so far but they seem better than I thought they might be, seem to be good for aggressive grinding and a longer life than many others I have tried, Unlike those other discs these actually remove metal when used. I do not want a disc that lasts a long time, they last a long time because they do not work like they should and I have better things to do than run a grinder two or three times longer than necessary..

Good investment
I’ve bought these for welding school. So far they’ve been a good investment. I’ve only used about two rocks per semester.

Wear down fast and break apart more easily than other brands
The wheels seemed to wear faster than the previous brands I was using. Normally I'll wear a wheel down and seve the wore down ones for emergency. After seeing what was left after wearing these down not even to the point of my others I just discarded them

Works well for aggressive grinding and lasts a long time
The Makita grinding wheel works very well with my Makita 18v grinder. It cuts well and is quite durable. For sharpening lawn mower blades, I suggest that you use a 120 grit flap disc rather than the aggressive 80 grit disc. For shaping rough shaping metal, this product is highly recommended.
