Q: Can you use this in a ceiling

Do you mean, can it be fitted to a ceiling, or is it visible in the ceiling? We have just fitted ours in the ceiling in our utility room after water damage from a leaking pipe above. We wanted to make sure that we have access, should the problem reoccur. It opens like a hatch and is a good size for access. You can see it, but I'd say its fairly discreet.

Q: Is this inspection panel a push to open and close?

You pull the "lock" down to open it and press to close it
