Triple Eight Certified Sweatsaver Helmet for Skateboarding, BMX, Roller Derby, Roller Skating, Inline Skating, Scooter and Bike

The media could not be loaded.  "I haven't wiped out on a bike since I was like 12," I told myself right before buying this. "My old one is fine," I thought. A couple weeks ago my spouse told me to just man up and buy a new one because I bike so much, and I listened, and I'm so glad I did. The neighborhoods around us were being freshly paved, so there was a ton of loose gravel leftover. I hit a lip and and stones today on my road bike and flew off my seat. As my head hit the pavement, I felt the whole shell of the helmet vibrate and absorb the impact. I never write reviews, but I'm writing one today because I still have a brain with which to do so. No neck pain, no head pain, no problems. I tore up the left side of my shoulder and leg but it's nothing considering I was able to bike a few miles home with an intact skull. Buy your head size up if you have to, because it's nice and snug, but do buy this helmet.

At the very least, it saved me from a traumatic brain injury. I was going downhill on an electric skateboard when the brakes failed. I was going far too fast by the time I realized what was happening, and I tried to run it out. I made it about 3 or 4 steps before I went down. Hard. I put my hands out to facilitate a roll, and I did roll, while also BOUNCING my head on the pavement 3 times. Right side (and broke my collarbone with that first hit), backside, left side.I ended up with a broken left thumb, a VERY broken right collarbone, road rash on both shoulders and both hips, and ZERO injuries to my head or brain. The helmet's skin also has severe road rash from all 3 hits.I am certain this helmet saved me from a TBI, and may have saved my life.WEAR A FRIGGIN HELMET, PEOPLE! This one looks pretty sleek, not dorky like a bike helmet, and the value of NOT having a TBI is worth having a sweaty head. Better to have it sweaty than bloody...Go to Youtube and search "Session error: the rise and risk of electric skateboards" and also "The Moth presents Stephanie Perirolo: Walking with RJ for a dose of the reality of what recovering from a TBI is like.WEAR A HELMET! Wear pads, too! My elbows and knees were fine because I had pads on. I also had "slide gloves" on my hands, but they're not designed for hard hits to the ground, so I got a broken thumb, BUT no road rash on my hands or fingers.

I LOVE this helmet!! Great color. Breathable. The pic is very accurate in depicting the true color of the Mint (my sweater is very much a Kelly green). I originally ordered a size L/XL because my head measures at 22in BUT I found that neither padding was tight enough, so I exchanged for the S/M. It's better to have it fit a little snug for safety. I love the soft texture of the matte finish. I know some reviews say it runs small, but just Ginny the sizing chart and if you're on the cusp like me, I'd recommend a more snug fit and going with the smaller size so you feel secure.

My head is exactly 22.5 inches around, right at the end of a S/M and the beginning of a L/XL. I went with a S/M and it was perfect. It comes with extra padding which I won’t use since it’s snug as it is but if you’re right on the line between sizes go for the smaller one.I’ve used Triple 8 helmets in the past and they’re great! Sturdy and great at protecting your brain but also comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time.

This helmet is a lifesaver. Tried to longboard down a steep hill and got really bad speed wobble. Helmet looks bad but had ct scans and there is nothing wrong. Side of my head where the helmet dented in with initial impact is a little sore. Broke my pelvic bone in several spots, but it definitely could have been a lot worse without this helmet. No doubt that it is worth the extra money for this one! This helmet did not fail to do its job.

I love this helmet! It's really shiny, super comfortable, and cute too boot. I did have to mod podged over the glitter rainbow to prevent it from flaking off, if you see the black spot on the yellow in the pic, that was from just 1 bump on the glitter. Now that I sealed it better I dont have that issue anymore.

So 20+ years after not skating. 50 pounds heavier. I got the bright idea that I was getting on a skateboard again. Thank goodness I bought a helmet. Within the first week I had one fall that was incredibly hard. Without a helmet I'm certain I would've at least been knocked unconscious. Instead I popped right back up and now wear a nice concrete scuff on my helmet. Sizing was a perfect fit for me at 22 inches. Never used a helmet when I Skated as a teen. Helmets back then were heavy and bulky. You barely even notice this helmet is on. Wonderful product.

Love this helmet! I got a cheaper one before this and after I started roller skating more I decided I needed to invest in a triple 8 to protect myself better. It arrived fast and the color is awesome. I got the matching pads too and they’re a major upgrade from my last set. The small/medium is snug on my head, but I think the large would have been too big, so I’m glad with the sizing choice. Totally worth the money and would recommend.

I brought a pure electric scooter and needed a helmet, the one I originally brought was too small ( I have a large head) this XXL version fitted me well. So if you have a large head this is the product for you.

This is a very nice quality helmet and comfortable to wear.I feel much better spending the extra few pounds to get one from a reputable well-known brand like Triple8 vs some of the no-name Chinese brands for sale on Amazon. Helmets are not something I feel comfortable trying to save a bit of money on! I didn't look for the Tony Hawk helmet specifically but it was just the cheapest Triple8 helmet on sale. The Sweatsaver material on the inside is nice enough but I wouldn't say it's a game changer or anything.I have the S/M size which fits up to a 57cm head - I have a 57.0cm head and I am right on the max for this helmet with the thin inserts installed (you also get thicker inserts included if you have a smaller head). It is very true to size so if you have a 58cm head this will not fit you - the fit is snug on my 57cm head but not uncomfortable.Would reccomend this helmet - any helmet is better than none at all and this one is very nice.

Used a couple of skate helmet before this and the only thing I would say - I should have spend that extra money and buy this instead. It’s so comfortable and looks awesome. It comes with some extra pads that you can include or remove to adjust how snug you want it. It took me sometime to mix and match to get the right fit. But it’s a one time only and worth every second. You know you got a good quality product when it’s endorsed by the best skater in the world. Although a bit pricey I would say it’s worth it. Highly recommend it to all.

A helmet that doesn't make you look like a helmet!!!Really nice fit, low profile, comfortable!Everything is brilliant, but I'll only know if it comes into actual use between head and concrete!

Looks great feels lightweight but sturdy and very comfortable. Look at that face 🤣
