This is a gorgeous piece of art - the large size makes it a real eye-grabber.What makes this work is the framing system. The canvas comes rolled up in a long box, along with the wooden framing and hardware needed to assemble the painting. The only tools you need are a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver. You will also need a clean, flat space large enough to lay the canvas out on to frame it all up.There are four side pieces and two that crossover each other. Metal pins align them as you fit them together. (The video with the product link shows how it works; there are also printed instructions that come with the package.) I found getting the wooden framing laid out on the lines marked on the back of the canvas worked fine. Folding the canvas over and nailing it down was not too difficult either. Once the canvas is tacked down on all four sides, bolts at the ends of the framing pieces can by turned with the supplied wrench in the kit to push the pieces apart far enough to stretch the canvas tight. The metal pins keep them aligned. (One note - make sure the canvas is stretched tight enough to take out any wrinkles before you fold the corners over and tack them down.)The kit comes with more than enough nails; the frame is some kind of hard wood that will take them without splitting. There are also two brackets for attaching picture wire (You'll need to supply the wire), and two sturdy wall hooks.Again, the painting is stunning all by itself - but the large size really adds to the impact.
