Are the biodegradable?

The confetti inside would be biodegradable but the actual canister is part cardboard and part metal for the CO2 tank so it could be recycled but by definition I am not sure if that is considered biodegradable. I wouldn't put this in a check in bag!!! Can you imagine if the pressurization caused all of them to explode how dangerous and frightening that would be!!
