For me and my cat's experience, this is a wonderful product. It is so good for him I have already ordered another tube of it and will continue to use it. When I first tried it, or rather when my cat first tried it, my cat had been constipated for a week. Vet was very concerned and thought he needed ER visit during a weekend. My cat hates going to the Vet and to try and keep him from being traumatized at going to an ER on the weekend, I had researched this item, saw the great reviews, and decided to give it a try. The first tube arrived on a Sunday and I was thrilled. I gave it to my cat based on the directions, and within an hour he went to the litter box and had a perfect bowel movement. My Vet thinks that was just a coincidence, but I don't think so. I still took him to the Vet though on that Monday though so that he could be examined because of the constipation prior to giving him this. He was still a just a little constipated at that time and had IV fluids to help with the constipation. But instead of having further medical probing, I decided to bring him home and start a routine of giving him this product. It worked perfectly for us. Within a week, and after several days of bowel movements he was feeling great again, and up and playing and happy. I have since been giving it to my cat exactly as per the instructions on box and he now has a regular bowel movement every couple of days which is completely normal for him. And my cat feels wonderful and has not been constipated again. And he loves the taste. As soon as I open the box that the tube is in, my cat comes running for it. To help myself make sure I give him the doses exactly as noted on the box, I give it to my cat on the same days of the week. Has worked perfectly for us. We have been using it now for almost two months, three days a week. NOTE: This was just our experience, someone's else experience may be different, but I am thrilled it worked for us, so is my cat. Meow.

My cat has gastrointestinal problems. During Christmas last year I thought i was going to loose her. She's now on prescription food for her digestion. She has/had frequent constipation. My vet told me about this. It really works. Depending on how she's doing I give her about an inch every 2 to 3 times weekly. Anything more than an inch and she gets sick. The vet said its very tasty to them. We'll she doesnt know my cat very well. She turns her head. So I found a little trick so that she'll eat it. I take a Squeeze Up and mix part of it in with the Lax'aire and she licks it off the plate or spatula.

I would give this 5 stars but the consistency is watery. You can't put in on your finger to give it to your cat without it oozing off the sides and making a mess. Could be much thicker considering the ingredients. Smells ok. My cat will not eat it with food. I have to keep it in the fridge to stay thicker, and put it in her mouth. It has helped with hairballs, not vomiting at all in a long time. It helps keep her regular poops.

This hairball medication works on my dogs. The cats won't touch it. One of my dogs is a huge licker and she finally threw up a bratwurst size hairball. The other dog threw up a handful of hair. But, too much of it will cause loose poops. But, I will take that over having that much hair stuck in their stomachs.
