FAIRE VALUE
I have not yet made this. But it looks not too complicated for a very nice Rennaisance gown. We love the Fairs. This pattern was available on prime and I needed it fast. I ended up using a much simpler Medieval style for this year. But this costume is so much pettier. Can't wait to try for next year. And here I am again......after starting this pattern. My skirt did not come out as full as this one looks. couldn't say why except that this once looks like it was pleated instead of gathered....with a rather deep pleat. Because I didn't want to be limited by the waist band size on the skirt which calls for a zipper and fitted band, I decided to make a lace and grommet closing in the back ( in order to get in on easily) and a tied waist fitted through a casing. More flexibility in waist size that way so it functions better as a costume. But you could probably not get away with that unless you are adding the peplum. Without the peplum to cover, the pulled waist might not be neat enough.Making some adjustment on the vest also to give more sizing flexibility. Instead of just having a grommet laced front, I did the same on each side. I made my vest out of a very pretty silk fabric with fusible backing. Gave it a nice sturdy body. Because there was a lot of design in the fabric I opted not to add trim over the front seams, or the peplum. I

ero titubante per la complessità dell'abito ma il cartamodello è ben spiegato ed è facile da tirar fuori, non l'ho ancora cucito ma non avendo avuto difficoltà con il primo sarà così anche con questo. :-)

Easy Pattern
I had bought it for the shirts because my original shirt I wear to Ren faires is looking a bit ragged. I spent $50 on the shirt but with this pattern and some fabric from the discount bin I'm able to make another at a fraction of the cost!I want to try out the other elements. It will be nice to have more costume choices during ren faire season without spending $100+
