Good quality tinned potatoes
These are versatile, convenient and quick to use as they're already cooked. It's true that all tinned potatoes have a slightly different flavour which isn't as nice as with fresh ones, but they're absolutely fine in dishes where they blend with other, stronger flavours. I like the D'Aucy brand.

Take when we go camping as easy to store and lasts a long time... Mostly I make healthy meals and take time to think of ingredients, but we all have days when lazy and convenient is acceptable...

Taste really nice
These are just the best tinned potatoes - nice taste and slightly waxy and perfect for both cooked meals or a salad potato. I usually halve the tin and fridge to use the next day. They go really well with a vegetarian Cornish pasty and tinned marrowfat peas and salad cream. Yum.
