I was told by a local artist that this is the best paint for painting Quality paint for the price

Great product, buy a medium for mixing to get even more out of them. Small tubes, good color and consistency. Should be able to get at least 5-9 small/medium paintings of of them when combined with a mixing medium( if not painting impasto) .

This is a lovely brand of acrylic paint. I really like to work with heavy bodied paints, but if you don't they sell a wide variety of paint thinners. It feels like quality, mixes smooth and provides great coverage. I like to paint small details in my work and this lets me do it. Lighter bodied paints would lose the details, this keeps your line crisp and has great pigment.

I have been painting for close to 20 years and my favorite acrylics were always the Liquitex High Viscosity, until those became impossible to find. I don’t know if they were discontinued, but I was under the impression that they were and the Heavy Body acrylics were meant to replace them. After a couple disappointing experiences with other brands of acrylics that ended up being very sheer and streaky, I bought these hoping they were the same as the High Viscosity formula, only with a different name.They aren’t quite as good or opaque as the High Viscosity paints were, but still significantly better than the other brands of similarly priced acrylics I had tried. I bought the 22 ml sampler pack, and the tubes are small enough to fit into my hand (see the second picture for scale), but contain more than enough paint to play around with and get an idea of the quality and performance on both canvas and wood.I am happy with most of these paints, which are much better than some of the other brands of acrylics that I had recently purchased. Most of them mix well, apply smoothly, and are opaque on the first application. The only colors that were disappointing were the blue and green, which were transparent and patchy. In the third picture, you can see the Liquitex Heavy Body on the left and Windsor and Newton Galleria acrylics on the right side of the canvas for comparison. Both show single layers of color, applied with a synthetic brush.In my experience, blue and green pigments usually tend to be difficult in creating opacity, so I can deal these two colors and just paint multiple layers, or mix them with some other more opaque colors as a workaround. Overall, these do fall slightly short of the former High Viscosity acrylics that Liquitex used to make, but I am very happy, especially for the price, and will continue to buy them.

Awesome paint set. The colors are so so pigmented, I always have a problem with yellows being "see- through " but the opacity for yellow is AMAZING.

I love my liquidtex acrylic paints. I have some from many many yrs ago and they are still good. No issues at all. Just keep in a cool place and they will keep for years. Like my old ones are literally 40 yrs old, my mom used them. I needed to expand on colors and got these. I've heard several artists now looking this brand, they had issues. I'm telling them about my 40 yr old paints and how well they have stood time.

I love liquitex acrylics! They give me a very close result to oils and they're easy to blend. 22 ml is not much though, so if you're planning on a lot of painting you might want to get more
