Used to clean toilet tank. Worked like a charm. I have never seen this work like this.

I saw a TicToc saying you can use this product for cleaning out your toilet tank. I laughed since it was for food consumption, however, I have tried scratching, scraping, fuming, bubbling, and a bunch of elbow grease on this sudden rust that has settled in my toilet tank and bowl, and I was ready to try anything. Guess what? I sprinkled a little in the bowl, and then dumped the rest into the tank and went to sleep. When I woke up, all I had to do was rub it a little with my toilet cleaner sponge and it was spotless. I am over the moon happy with not having to be on my knees anymore.!!

Couple tablespoons of this, run the cleaning cycle, and all the hard water scale is gone, and it's 10% of the cost of the manufacturer's recommended cleaners.

I purchased this citric acid powder to try a household cleaning recipe I saw on YouTube for the inside of toilet tanks. Ours was embarrassingly filthy with mineral deposits and rust that had stained the tank for almost a decade. Gross. I turned off the toilet water valve, flushed the toilet to empty it, then mixed 4 oz of this powder into a bucket of hot water. Stir to dissolve solution, then pour into tank. Let it sit for 1 hour. FLUSH! The tank will be magically clean and you won't have to lift a finger scrubbing. IT REALLY WORKS! And it's all natural. Amazing.

I ordered this to clean the inside of my toilet tank. It went from brown and scummy looking to perfectly white. Here is how I did it: I drained the tank and lifted the flap to release all of the water. I poured in 4 ounces (1/2 of this bag) of citric acid, then filled the tank with hot water to just above the brown line. I let it sit 1 1/2 hours, then flushed. I flushed 2 more times. It works like magic!

The manufacturer does not seal the top of the product. As a result, when it arrived here, the packet had burst open during transit and about a quarter of the packet was loose in the bottom of the Amazon package. I ordered this because it was food grade, but I’m extremely hesitant to use it with food since the package arrived open because of the way it was manufactured. This is not a damaged package situation. This is a manufacturing issue. I’m sure it’s fine for making bath bombs, but I wouldn’t use it for food.

Great for your money! I have been using this to make bath bombs makes them very fizzy and easy to use!
