Love this adventure with Callum and Dani
UnchartedTreasure Hunter Security book 2By Anna HackettEach one of these books just get better and better and with this one being Callum Ward's story with photographer Dani Narvarro in the jungles of Cambodia has a bit of Tomb Raider thrown in. Dani has joined the Archeology team to try and find the temple and take photos over the expedition. There's lots of adventure, intrigue and a new person showing up from Silk Road wanting to steal the Cintamani stone in the temple. But will a rather nasty guardian of the temple save the day?Now onto book 3 Unexplored to see what else the Silk Road must want and how Treasure Hunters Security will solve the next adventure.

Adventure romance
This is a good book. I don't understand some of the words when it comes to the treasure hunt, but that's fine. The story was still enjoyable. I will definitely read the next book in the series. Full of adventures.

Treasure hunting in Cambodia!
Series: Treasure Hunter Security #2--What’s Going On--Photographer Dani Navarro is traveling into the Cambodian jungle with an archeology group to explore a newly discovered temple. Callum Ward from Treasure Hunter Security is hired to protect the group.--What are the Issues--Cal believes in living life to the fullest and honoring his late best friend who died in battle when Cal was still a Navy SEAL. He doesn't want to be tied down to one woman but he doesn't realize he's using this as an excuse to stay detached. Dani's family is all about the frivolous and she wants nothing to do with that lifestyle. Because of this, she doesn't trust Cal at first when he comes across as nothing but a fun-loving playboy.--What I Liked--Another great action adventure romance from Anna Hackett! I know nothing about Cambodian history so I didn't immediately connect with the setting like I did with Undiscovered and it's Egyptian history. But I still enjoyed the story and again Hackett throws in a little mythological twist to keep things interesting. I enjoyed Dani's spitfire nature and her attempts to see the beautiful in everything she photographed. Callum was a great alpha hero and I liked when he tried to get Dani to just experience where she was before diving into her photography. We also got to see more of the other Treasure Hunter Security crew and I can't wait to have Morgan's story because she's awesome.--What I Would Have Liked--Considering the length of these books, there's usually a lot of insta-love for the characters, but this time I would have liked a little more development to support their feelings. Callum mostly just has one-night-stands and Dani is only interested in a commitment.

A Reading the Paranormal Review
I'm not quite sure how I ended up reading this series out of order, but so it goes. For the record, the out of order thing didn't take away from the story AT ALL, so I will confidently say this is workable as a stand alone.Enough about my weird reading habits, though. Let's talk about Callum and Dani. He's trying his hardest to live life to the fullest to honor his fallen friend. Which means hook-ups and no commitment, with a side of adrenaline-producing adventures. On the other side of the coin, Dani has no intention of getting involved with a man who likes to hit it and quit it. Sure, there's an undeniable attraction between them, but she's strong enough to say no and walk away.Until she isn't. Or maybe it's less about being strong enough and more about being in the moment. She likes him, he likes her. Things happen. Then some unscrupulous bad guys drop in and suddenly Cal and Dani are on the run and in danger. Surviving dangerous situations is always a good time to celebrate being alive, right? And the best way to celebrate? Getting nekkid!Anywho. Fun, steamy, and chock full of adventure and mysterious ruins. It doesn't matter if it's the desert or the jungle, the folks from THS get the job done. And find romance. *thumbs up*-Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

Love this THS series!!
I've read through several of Anna's series and I'm in love with every single book! Every detail of the stories, every detail of the characters all come to life as you're reading and you're made to feel as if you are right there in the midst of all that is going on between the characters and the stories! Can't wait to read all the other books of the Treasure Hunter Security series!

Uncharted...
Treasure Hunter Security book 2. Callum and Dani. This book was exciting, dramatic, angsty and oh so tingle worthy. Callum is hired to protect a group of archeologists searching for a lost temple in the jungle. Dani is a photographer on this expedition. She's kind of closed off due to family history but she's also kickass in her own right. Callum ex-SEAL, in all his alpha badassery, has his own issues. The heat and chemistry between the two scorched the pages. Loved the action and all the WTF situations. Jungle, hidden temples and a giant snake oh my!

Cal & Dani. Super!

Is that a challenge?
Dani challenges Cal in every way and in turn he smashes every preconceived notion she has about men and relationships. Can Dani and her tough, intelligent, sexy protector defeat the Silk Road, locate and save the artifact and save each other?A fast moving, intriguing, explosive series and I am looking forward to more.

High octane action that doesn't stop
Wow...wow...wow. I'm having trouble coming up with other words to say about this book. Uncharted is the second book in Anna Hackett's Treasure Hunter Security series. It tells the story of ex Navy SEAL Callum Ward, and brother to Declan Ward whose story we read about in the first book in the series Undiscovered, and his adventure in the jungles of Cambodia.Callum is part owner of Treasure Hunter Securities with his brother, Declan, and his sister, Darcy. Callum is sent on a job to Cambodia to provide security for a group of archeologists who are searching for a lost temple deep in the jungle where no one has ever looked before. Part of the group of archeologists is an amazing photographer, Daniela (Dani) Navarro, who is there to take pictures of the journey and of the temple when it is found.Callum is an adrenaline junkie alpha male who claims to have no interest in a long term relationship. He is still dealing with the loss of a good friend and is living life to the fullest in his memory. Dani is a strong, independent woman who does not have a relationship with her family, but rather lives life through her lens. Dani claims that she is not interested in a long term relationship because of what she saw and experienced growing up in her family and because she travels so much. When Callum and Dani first meet, he is somewhat confused that she does not fall for his charm and is not interested in some no-strings-attached fun. Dani, on the other hand, writes him off as a man who knows he's attractive and uses it for some quick fun and then he's off to the next one. Soon after their initial encounter, they meet again at a hotel only to discover that they are both a part of the team searching for the temple. And this is where the fun begins. As is pretty typical in my reviews, I'm not going any further into the story. Instead, I want to briefly talk about some of what makes this book so awesome. Uncharted is filled with action from the beginning to the end of the story. It is a high octane, fun-filled ride on the action/adventure train that doesn't stop. Just when you think things are going to slow down... BAM... something else happens and the ride speeds up again. Just like a roller coaster. Awesome! Ok, next. Anna Hackett is more widely known for her sci-fi romance novels (The Phoenix Adventures for example), and in the sci-fi arena, pretty much anything your mind can come up with is workable. The way that Ms. Hackett writes, everything about Uncharted seems real. What I mean, is that all of the myths, stories, places, histories seem real. Like Ms. Hackett did some major research for this book and just embedded the romantic action story that she developed into an actual part of Cambodia's past. So much so, that I was very tempted to go and do some research myself to find out if everything she has written about Cambodia is true. But I stopped myself because whether the information is real or not makes no difference. The fact of the matter is that the descriptions and the amount of detail used was so vivid that I was sucked into the history and could picture everything in my mind. Fantastic! So, last but not least...the romance. In the characters of Callum and Dani, Ms. Hackett has brought two damaged souls together and placed them in situations where their initial ideas about each other quickly change. She also uses the characters to provide insight in themselves. So, Callum is able to show Dani how she uses her camera as a shield and Dani is able to show Callum how his life is truly empty. Now don't go thinking that their romance is all cerebral or all full of enlightenment. There is lots of fun, humour and steamy sexiness in the jungle going on. Me Tarzan you Jane!!Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. Truthfully, I liked this book better than the first book in this series. I'm already a huge fan of Ms. Hackett's Phoenix Adventures and Hell Squad series' and I'm definitely a fan of the Treasure Hunter Security series too and I can't wait to read about that other "I'm not looking for love", alpha male, single hottie who works at Treasure Hunter Security. I'm waiting for you Logan....

Addicting new series
It's been said that if you really want to get to know a person, take a trip with them. Callum Ward was called to the jungle with a group of archaeologists and did not expect to find someone who would steal his heart. After his best friend's untimely death when they were on a SEAL mission, Cal vowed to live life for both of them but ended up being numb, not fearing death and going through the motions of life including wine, women and song. Not until he found Dani Navarro, a famous photographer who initially shut down his advances. Dani had walls around her heart as much as he did but he was unaware of that. However, as the mission to find the Cintamani stone became increasingly dangerous with The Silk Road people thrown in the mix, Dani began to see Cal in a different light. The entire experience brought out the best and the worst in both of them and fed the attraction and something more. They both realize what they had been completely missing in their respective lives. The thought of almost losing someone dear to made them rethink their priorities and change their perspectives. Life is indeed too short and it can turn for the worse when least expected.I love the endless action adventure in this book. Trouble finds them every where they go and there is truth to the legend. I like strong heroines and Dani's quick thinking and smarts that proved invaluable in the achievement of their mission. Cal is absolutely swoon-worthy, all strong and buff and brave but despite all these, he did not see himself as a hero. I like that he's self-deprecating, confident, caring and protective at the same time.I started to follow this new series from Anna Hackett from the first book and I like the excitement of uncharted territories and reading about the perils of the mission. Being with the main characters on their adventures bring a certain exhilaration in this book nerd's life. Anna is probably an Indiana Jones fan just like myself. I could imagine theme song playing in the background. Instead of a whip, Callum has his machete and Sig Sauer. I can definitely see the author's interest on archaeological sites in the book. The series can be quite addicting and I have downloaded the 3rd installment about Logan. The author uses language are simple to understand but she creates vivid images of the trail, the jungle, the temples and the walls and the battle scenes. Pretty epic! The moral of the story is to grab life by the balls and go for what you want because one may not get second chances.

Hot
You have adventure with archaeologist looking for ancient ruines.Thrills with people trying to kill them so they can find an ancient artefact. Said artefact is suppose to have magic powers. Then their is romance.Cal and Dani both have a habit of hiding behind things so they never have heartbreak. For Cal it's extreme sports for Dani photography. They may have different backgrounds but more alike then anyone would think.
