Q: Is this flannel unbleached? Is it dyed?

Hi Robin, thanks for your question! The Flannel is completely undyed and is the natural color of the cotton fiber. There have been no chemical treatments or bleaching done to the fabric, and the Flannel is GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton.

Q: Does it have any flame retardants in it?

Hi Mary, thanks for your question! None of our 100% organic cotton fabrics have flame retardants on them because if chemicals are put on the fabrics, they would immediately lose their organic properties and the GOTS certification becomes worthless. Q: I am wanting to make cloth coffee filters. Any idea if this would be a good material to use. If not, do you have a recommendation.

Hi Emily, this fabric is a bit heavyweight and would not strain well for use as a coffee filter. I would recommend our natural muslin - the weave is open enough and the fabric lightweight enough to allow the water to pass through, but not the coffee grounds. Hope this helps!
