It is very good at being light and compactable
I am psyched I have this cup. On thing I would improve, but wasn't worth removing a star, is I would make the measurements more readable. I need to angle the cup for light to get a shadow on the imprint and put on reading glasses. Most people buying don't need reading glasses, so not the products fault. To be fair, I don't struggle to see measurements on my other camping products.

Love this little cup!
I travel practically everywhere with an atomically hot Zojirushi thermos that has a flip-top drinking lip. I LOVE that thing. Keeps tea/water practically boiling for 18 hours…which makes it hard to drink straight from the thermos when we are hiking/camping. Seems dumb because I could just add cold water/ice, or let it steam off, but I like to keep it piping hot. A glimpse into my personal insanity, but here’s where this Sea to Summit cup comes in. This collapsible cup goes hiking with us regularly, and comes with me in the car, and in airplanes so that I can always drink my tea HOT from the aforementioned thermos without burning myself. Could I probably find a different lid for the thermos? Probably, but why mess with the best? (If you’re a camper, you know the value of waking up to piping hot tea or coffee in your sleeping bag.)The StS cup is a perfect pairing, and I chose the bright green so it’s easy to spot. Have had this for about a month, and used it a lot. Doesn’t seem to absorb odors or stains, and is easier to clean than I expected. Have used this for oatmeal and soup, which wiped right out on the trail. Also to note: for people with small hands, this is a great size. I worried that it would be slippery, but it’s fine. I tend to hold it by the reinforced lip.Ordered another for my husband so we’ll have them for backcountry camping, eating, and washing.

Nice but not flawless
The only reason why I bought this cup and would recommend doing so is that it fits perfectly into most 95 mm cooking pots, like Toaks 550/650/750, Snow Peak, Lixada, etc. Evernew pots are a tight fit though.Otherwise, it is nice but not flawless. Here are the pros and cons for me:Pros:- Fits perfectly into most 95mm cooking pots.- Packs down really flat.- It can also be used as a fidget toy. The cup sits on my desk and I open and collapse it all the time.Cons:- It can be a bit more tricky to clean than non-collapsible cups.- I am surprised that nobody mentions it, but the cup has a noticeable rubber smell that doesn't go away over time. It's not terrible but it's there.- The walls don't have any thermal isolation. After pouring hot liquids, you can only hold the cup by the rim. Not very convenient. The "Sea to Summit X-Mug Cool Grip" solves this issue.- For ultralight backpackers. While the cup is lightweight, it's not the lightest option. In fact, it has one of the worst volume-to-weight ratios among all the cups that I have.Measured volume: 270 ml.Subjective max usable volume: 220 ml.The volume-to-weight ratio for this cup is 270/45 = 6 ml per gram of weight.Sea to Summit X Mug with Cool Grip: 460/69 = 6.7 ml per gram of weight.Evernew 400 titanium mug: 430/50 = 8.6 ml per gram of weight.Wildo Fold-a-cup: 240/25 = 9.6 ml per gram of weight.

Thin and light but durable
I got the cup in sand for plein air watercolor painting. It takes almost no room in my bag and the light neutral sand color makes judging the cleanliness of my rinse water easier than the actual collapsible wash cups from Faber-Castell.If your paint watercolor, this is the one you want.

Still A Classic
I've put together a few different kits for coffee, quick meals and full, multi-course dinners, using various cooking components and different types of stoves, (alcohol, solid fuel tabs, gas canister, white gas and wood). In trying to minimize weight and space, I've included the Sea to Summit Collapsible Cup in two of my minimalist kits and they have proved to be the perfect solution. It's a great product at a reasonable price.

Perfect!
I got this for my lunch box. I have a feeding tube so I do bolus feeds at work and I needed a cup that would fit in my lunch box that I can draw water out of with my syringe. This works perfectly. I love it so much and I love the wide base so it doesn't tip over.

Excellent Purse-Sized Retractable Cup.
I have been searching for a sturdy and reliable retractable cup for some time now. Ages ago, in Girl Scouts, I had a metal "official" Girl Scout retractable cup, it was so useful, and I kept it for years. Well, that was a long time ago, the cup has long since disappeared, and I have not been able to replace it.I discovered this cup while searching on Amazon, it seemed to have all of the qualities for which I was searching. But, I was not sure if any retractable cup could ever replace my beloved Girl Scout model. This cup arrived and I was pleased with it from the very first moment. It is light, very flexible, and I love the cheery fluorescent green color of the cup. The top opening portion of the cup is wide, and surrounded by a black supportive and stabilizing ring.I opened it to its full size quite easily, it is a bit trickier to close. However, after some practice I learned to place even pressure on all side when I wished to close it. This is a very handy item for those needing to take medication, and unable to do so while using a water fountain. It is also perfect for use with a water cooler that has no cups, and it is certainly "green" in that you are not making constant use of disposable paper cups.. I carry it in my purse, it is quite thin when fully retracted and fits easily inside of my smaller purses.I recommend this as a very useful item for many, but in particular for those needing a cup of water for use with medications. The quality appears to be high, and I love the many cheery colors available from which to choose.

Handy Cup!
Really like the convenience of this collapsible mug. The fact that it has the quantity measures in ml/cups is really useful. No rubber taste from drinks. I even bought the bowl and plate because I was impressed with the cup. To be honest, I've only ever used the bowl for camp meals. It's plenty big enough.

Good. Smells a bit rubbery
Fits nicely into my titanium pot with a stove and gas canister.Only negative is that to me it smells rubbery.

ほのかな臭いだけ
温かいものを入れた時のほのかな臭いが気にならなければ、フラットで軽量だし、容量もちょうどいいです。自分は大丈夫でした。
