This stuff works!!
I was very skeptical but this stuff is amazing!! We carefully followed the directions and the following 2 years after putting this on our grass, we have had almost NO Japanese beetles. Each July all of our flowers got destroyed by them. I strongly recommend this product!

Drastically reduced my Japanese Beetle population
This product is expensive, but if used as directed, it is worth every penny. Several years ago I had Japanese Beetles everywhere. Four or five times a day, I would walk around the yard with a mayonnaise jar full of soapy water and picked the beetles off my roses and other plants. On average day, I would pick several hundred of them. The next year I had even more beetles so I bought a box of milky spore and used it on one side of the house where most of the rose bushes are located. The next year there was a visible difference on the number of beetles in that area, but other areas of the yard still had a lot of them. So I decided to spend the $ and do the entire yard with milky spore. It took four boxes. The next year there were very few beetles. Plus when I was planting my annuals, there were very few grubs in the soil where in years past there were many. I will definitely use it again if I have another outbreak of Japanese Beetles.

Goodbye Japanese beetles and moles
The mole population was increasing and a couple of years ago my garden was decimated by Japanese beetles. My lawn was lumpy with dirt mounds from moles, and my grass was all but gone. And it wasn't just because of lack of rain. After doing my research, I learned how to solve the three-part problem ... get rid of the grubs that the moles eat, and the adult 'grubs' which are the Japanese beetles. However, I didn't want to use a harsh chemical. The milky spore is working beautifully. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's still working and all the results aren't in. But after spooning it on the lawn as the instructions indicate, I watered it in well, and in a week the grass started coming back. That was early July and it's now mid-September. It's taking some areas longer, but by keeping the driest areas watered, I see more little tufts of grass cropping up and fewer weeds. The lawn is measurably filling in completely. It just isn't done yet. I still have a mole or two desperate for food, obviously, but not as I did before. My lumpy lawn is getting smoother and greener each week.I thought about reseeding the lawn, but by watering the lawn well each week and sometimes giving it a light drink or two during the week, it's coming back nicely. Plus, we've had more intermittent rain this summer which has helped quite a bit. Last summer we had record heat for many weeks.I'm very happy with the milky spore product. I'll write a note on my calendar to give a final report next spring. But I have some milky spore powder left, so if need by, I'll just apply more to the areas that need it. Right now, it looks like the lawn will fill in totally.

Kill yard grubs for +5 years
Don’t waste your money on commercial grub X products. Use milky spore as directed throughout affected areas with grubs. It is a spore that slowly kill scrubs where they won’t return for 5 to 8 years. It is a natural product that most people under 60 years old know about. I use it about every eight years in my yard. Expensive but well worth it.

Coverage is misleading
Applying as directed it covered only about 1500 sq ft.

Milky Spore Dangerous to People?
Recieved the product, have not used it yet. However, I am very confused by the warning labels on the product. Everything I have read online states that Milky Spore is only harmful to Japanese beetle grubs... competely safe for birds, people, pets... yet the package arrived yesterday and it carries a warning label that says, 'HAZARDOUS TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS'. It goes on to instruct that you should call 911 if you inhale it, throw away your clothes if it gets on them, and discusses the proper storage and handling of 'pesticides'. So is Milky Spore more dangerous than everybody (including Ag extension websites) claim, or is there more than just Milky Spore in this mixture? I'm so confused! I don't want to poison myself and every living thing around me, I just wanted to get rid of beetle grubs if it was going to be minimally harmful to the rest of the environment. If I have a way of finding out that this exact product is safe (to anyone other than the beetle-grub population) and effective, I'll revise my review.Edit: I am editing this review to give this product the full 5 stars - it is great. I was careful putting it on the yard, using gloves and washing my hands afterwards, etc. and there were no problems. That was a month ago. In just one month's time, my front yard has never looked better. My poor rose bush used to get every new leaf quickly eaten by the darn beetles. The bush now has clusters of beautiful leaves. The grass is no longer patchy, it has grown in completely. Wonderful product, I'm going to order more and put down more -- I don't know if it needs it, but at this point, I just want to because I see the good it can do.

Works!
I purchased this in 2018. We had a skunk coming and tearing up our front yard at night. The first year didn’t do much which is normal because this product takes time. It’s now 2023 and we never have skunks coming and digging in our lawn. My neighbors front yard got attacked the last few nights so I recommended this product to them. My neighbors have tried all the usual grub sprays and treatments to no avail. If you want a long term solution for grubs this is it. I would also purchase the pole stick applicator thing they recommend. To be honest as you are applying the powder on your lawn it feels silly. You might think how could this even work but it does. Make sure you water you lawn afterward like they recommend to get it saturated into the ground.
