Good quality, affordable bag.
I really like this bag.I don't consider my self a drummer; I am a guitarist. However, i recently got into hand percussion. I have a DeGregario cajon and LP bongos. I find that having some drums around at an acoustic jam is a great way to add depth to the music, and gives me something to contribute if I don't know the current song selection. That being said, I need a reliable bag to protect the drums in the car, especially asa grab and go.I enjoy lower priced, but quality instruments, and I want to protect my investment in a like manner. I am not going to buy a road case to head to the jam session, and I am not a professional. I would feel comfortable bringing this bag to a gig: there is enough padding to protect the drums from a fall off the table or cart; I would guess about 1/4 inch. The zipper is smooth, oversized and high quality. It will not jam in the lining. The lining on the inside is soft and will not scratch the finish on the drums. The material on the outside is good nylon also. There is plenty of space in the bag for my bongos: the larger drum measures 8 inches. There is some space for shakers, claves, and a cowbell with beater. If I have one gripe about the bag, it is a lack of a shoulder strap. This is my second Meinl bag, as I have one for the cajon also. I would not hesitate to purchase Meinl products in the future.

Incredible Functionality
I have no idea why more percussion companies do not make a product like this. For gigging percussionists, this is incredible. Sure, it’s made for bongos, and some gear might need more protection than this bag offers. But for most auxiliary toys (even tambourines and large triangles), over-sized mallets, hardware, towels, and odds and ends, this bag is perfect. If you need a simple, little, catch-all bag, then this is the bag for you.

PERFECT for carrying a Positive Grid Spark 40 amp with cables!
I bought my Positive Grid Spark amp without the carry bag. Since PG doesn't sell the bag separately I looked elsewhere to find something that would do the trick. After LOTS of searching I found that this bongo bag fits the amp, cables, battery pack and wireless guitar system perfectly! It would be a little big side-to-side for just the amp but with the other stuff it is perfect. Not too cramped and not to roomy where everything is flying around. See pics for details. Only reason I didn't rate it as 5 stars is that it doesn't have a shoulder strap. An easy 5 stars if it did.

Very good bag.
the only thing it should have had was a sturdy bottom on the inside for more durability.

Excellent quality. Very good value for money. Needs a storing solution for the tuning wrench.
The bag would earn easily five stars, because its build is faultless in all respects (materials, padding, stitching, zipper, handle, overall feel) and is an unbeatable value for money. I will take a star though, because it misses a solution/place to store the tuning wrench (I know, I could just wrap it in a cloth and let it float at the bottom, but I'm cringing at the thought). To keep the bag fold able, I will make a small incision, and embed somehow a magnet in the bag wall (with the magnet placed towards the bottom of the bag as seen in the third picture, a 1/2" ratchet combination wrench 7 in/180 mm long does not interfere with the bongos in any way but is easily accessible even in the dark).Normally, just a [lightly padded] inner fold or pocket in that place would do [ @ Meinl Percussion: if you find the idea useful, have it, royalty-free.]The pictured bongos are the Meinl 6.75-inch + 8-inch Free Ride Wood Marathon Series FWB190.

Fits SPARK Amp perfectly
I bought this for my Spark Guitar Amp. It fits perfect with room for cables as well. If you are looking for a bag for the Spark this is the one. Padding is good for travelling in the car or with you on public transport but this is not a flight case so not for aircraft cargo holds.

Bongos just fit but nowhere near enough padding or protection.
My 7 inch and 8 inch bongos fit this bag perfectly. The stitching and zip quality is good. Not a lot of padding but the bag keeps them safe a secure without being over padded.Edit - after a few months holes appeared in the base of the bag where the screws of the bongos had worked their way through. Not nearly enough padding and there should be a reinforced base.Very disappointed Expected better quality from Meinl.

Close To The Knuckle
Bought this to accomodate a speaker. A Fostex unit which is some 7kgs+. The bag fits it well and overall I'm happy with it. I have a similar bag which I bought a few years ago. It seems like the same unit when you see a picture of this one but this one is quite a bit lower quality with less padding. Still for the price it seems just up to the job. A tad more padding wouldn't have broken the bank for them. When even German manufacturers are obviously cutting corners you have to worry a little. Overall so far (I have only used it on about four occasions so far) I would buy it again so don't let my carping put you off.

Does not hold bongos too small
Took a long time to come. Quality not the best. flimsy size is small for bongos.

contains your bongos and thats all ya need.
Love this bag. It could've done with shoulder straps. but it's good all the same. A nice bongo bag. good sturdy material too zips are good. I dare say it'll be ok when carrying them when it's raining and the bongo's would remain dry. It could've done with a side pouch for tools.. when adjusting the bongo's.. That's my main criticism.
