I prepared this Diet Cooker Shirataki rice for dinner last night and, while the portion was a bit small for two adults, I was pleased with the texture and the reduced odor compared to other brands. After a quick rinse, I dry-fried the rice and served it with my son’s flavorful Chicken Tikka Masala. If you’re in the market for low-carb shirataki rice, this is a great option!

I opened a package of Diet Cooker Shirataki rice for last night's supper. While the package contents are a bit undersized for 2 adults, I was happy with the texture, reduce odor compared to other brands, and ease of washing the rice before use. After a quick wash, I briefly dry-fried the rice and topped it with some of my daughter-in-law's wonderful Massaman Beef Curry. If you are looking for konjak/shirataki rice to keep your carbs low, this is a good one. The oat bran helps with the color and texture so it is less rubbery than some that I have used.

I purchased to try them. They were good till the 5 th pack. Cut it open and immediately smelled really awful. Not the Konyaku smell. It was more like acid? Industrial smell and I had to throw it away. I opened the last pack, and it was ok. It has been an hour since the 5 th pack opened but the whole room still smells.I ordered another one not knowing it could be so bad. Sigh…

I've ordered this product for a few times, and had pleasant experience with it.I like the synthetic texture of rice and the size was like real rice.But with my latest order, the size of each grain is much larger than before, and it doesn't look like rice, but small peas. And when open the package, it has very strong fishy smell. The previous orders had similar smell too but very subtle. After washing the smell disappears.I know Konjac products usually have strong smell, but this batch is definitely stronger. Something has changed...

The taste is very unpleasant, and the texture is really poor. I would rather eat cauliflower.

This product is not anything like it looks like on the package. I followed the instructions but even before that as soon as you open it it just looks like little circular gel balls resembling fish eggs. It didn't taste like anything which was commented but I don't know how you can market this as keto rice. It would be better marketed as fish smelling flavorless boba.
