Warning! Lucky Dip Item
Very disappointed. Bought this as a birthday gift for my 4 year old son to help build up his collection of characters/cars to use with his Hot Wheels Mario Kart Rainbow Road set, which he absolutely adores. However, at time of purchasing (Feb ‘25) the item description didn’t make it sufficiently clear that this was a random ‘surprise’ set of 4 figures, rather than the 4 they’ve specifically shown in all the photographs (i.e. Waluigi, Toad, Blue Yoshi and Diddy Kong). As a result, we actually received a completely different set that featured figures he either already had or didn’t want, leading to it being returned. In retrospect, this was partly an error on my part by failing to scrutinise the item specifics, but even then I feel they were ambiguous, and I shouldn’t have to delve in to the ‘small print’ to confirm that what I’m buying matches the title and photographs. In my opinion it should have been made much clearer that this was a ‘lucky dip’ item, by stating this explicitly in the title and by not only providing photographs of a specific combination of figures. As a wider complaint, why can’t companies like Hot Wheels manage stock availability and distribution better, allowing customers the opportunity to buy specific sets rather than having to typically resort to blind online purchases like this, and make a separate effort to prevent the stifling of supply and the exploitative intermediary price gouging that now seems so common?

very flimsy not worth the money
one of the cars came cracked and soon completely snapped off!

Nice selection but expensive
My 4 year old autistic son loves Mario Kart Hot Wheels so this was a convenient way to get some harder-to-come-by characters in one go. Just such a shame that they have to be so expensive! Actually, this set isn't the worst value, I have seen rampant profiteering for these things. Worth a go if you're a fan.
