Durable and Practical
I recently purchased the Nagoya NA-F30 tactical folding antenna for my Baofeng UV-5RM, and I’m thoroughly impressed! This antenna is a game-changer for anyone looking to enhance their radio’s performance. Right out of the box, it feels incredibly durable—built with high-quality materials that give it a rugged, reliable vibe perfect for outdoor use.The folding design is a huge plus, making it easy to store or carry without sacrificing functionality. When paired with my UV-5RM, the NA-F30 delivers exceptional signal clarity and range, noticeably improving reception and transmission compared to the stock antenna. Whether I’m out hiking or using it in urban settings, it performs flawlessly.Overall, the Nagoya NA-F30 is a fantastic upgrade—durable, practical, and highly effective. If you’re looking to boost your Baofeng’s capabilities, this antenna is absolutely worth it! Highly recommend!

A Must-Have Upgrade for Your Baofeng
Let’s talk about the Authentic Genuine Nagoya NA-771 15.6-Inch Whip VHF/UHF Antenna. I picked this up for my Baofeng UV-5R, and wow, it’s like giving my radio a serious boost without breaking the bank. The first thing you notice is the build. It’s a flexible, 15.6-inch whip antenna that feels way more durable than the stock antenna that came with my Baofeng. It’s soft enough to bend without snapping, which is great for tossing in a bag or using during outdoor activities like camping or hiking. The SMA-Female connector fits perfectly on my UV-5R and other Baofeng models, and it comes with a rubber spacer to ensure a snug fit on various radios. I’ve also seen it listed as compatible with BTECH, AnyTone, and other SMA-Female radios, so it’s pretty versatile. Why It’s Awesome: The signal boost is no joke. With a 2.15dBi gain, I’m picking up channels I couldn’t before, and my transmissions are clearer, especially on UHF. I tested it at the range, and it easily outperformed the stock antenna, letting me hit repeaters that were spotty before. It’s not a miracle worker—don’t expect to talk across the state—but for $15-$20, the improvement is noticeable. Plus, it’s RoHS compliant, and every antenna is tested for the 144/430MHz range, so you know you’re getting the real deal if you buy from a legit seller like BaoFeng Tech. The Not-So-Great: There are a couple of quirks. Some users, including me, noticed the SMA-Female connector can be a bit recessed, which might cause a loose connection on certain radios like the UV-9R Plus, where a little sanding or the included spacer is needed. Also, one review mentioned missing the rubber spacer in their shipment, which could be a hassle if you need it for fitment. It’s not perfect for every radio either; for example, it’s not compatible with the waterproof UV-9R, and some folks reported it doesn’t pick up NOAA signals well. Lastly, watch out for counterfeits—stick to sellers with the green poly bag and BTECH logo to avoid cheap knockoffs.Bottom Line: For the price, the Nagoya NA-771 is a fantastic upgrade for anyone with a Baofeng or BTECH radio. It’s rugged, boosts your signal, and is a no-brainer for hams or outdoor enthusiasts. Just double-check compatibility with your radio model and buy from a trusted source. I’d give it a solid 4/5—great value, but the occasional fitment issue keeps it from perfection. If you’re looking to step up your radio game, this antenna’s a keeper

Excellent for its intended use
This is a stubby antenna designed for short range and is great for communication with others on the same property (i.e. virtually line of sight). IF that is your purpose for the purchase, it will work perfectly as intended. If you are planning to use it for longer range communication, you will be sorely disappointed.

A huge improvement over the stock antenna
I bought a Boefang UV-5Rx3 tri-bander a few months ago. I really like using the 220 band. The stock antenna was not really all that good, not to mention I did not like changing antennas if I wanted to go on 2M or 70cm. This antenna fit the bill, I get into the 1.25M repeater with no problem now, it is about 25 miles from me as well as it seems to work quite well on the other two bands. I am glad I got this.

Works great for me
Good signal reports and it is very flexible. I am not looking for maximum range, just a more convienent length. If I need max range I use the NG-771 both are good antennas

My favorite antenna
I love this antenna, it is on par with the Nagoya 771, though only a little shorter. The signal out put and received is very clear when you know what youre doing, its great value. Easy to install screw on, and preformes amazing compared to any stock antenna. I use this antenna on every single one of my handhelds, from UV5R to DM32UV or even my DMR 6x2. I love this little antenna.

Versatile and Practical Antenna
Great antenna. I tested on all 3 bands: 2M, 1.25M, 70CM. I was able to hit repeaters easily in my city. About 10 miles away. Also connected with a 2M repeater about 36 miles away with good signal report Using medium power of 5 watts.
